How come gris coaches rarely move up to FBS schools? Why is bob hawks name never mentioned in all the job openings?

Been there, done that, didn't work out. He's 61 years old so I doubt he has any desire to do anything but finish out his career in Missoula where he has 100% job security for as long as he wants to coach.

Three of the past four Griz coaches DID move up to FBS schools (Dennehy to Utah State, Glenn to Wyoming, and Hauck to UNLV). They all had similar experiences to Choate at UNR.

Forgot Pflugrad and Delaney, but please get back to your sad trolling hobby. Or did the refs not vote for them so they don't count? Sorry, I get so lost trying to follow your arbitrary rules.

Flat forgot Pflugrad. Guilty. Didn’t count Delaney because he was a retiree brought back for an interim gig and everyone knew he would go back to retired status.

The assistants never leave and he’s never mentioned! Why is he not mentioned?

He told San Diego State “no” about four years ago. Everyone knows he’s not looking to move up. Like MSU01 said, he’s been there and done that (UNLV).

Assistants “moving up” to bigger schools, power 5’s. Why haven’t they? Hawks never mentioned, he’s undefeated 11-0 not even a phone call from an FBS school. Why?

The answer for Hauck is explained above numerous times. As for Hauck’s DC, he’s a guy in his 70s who already did the FBS tour long ago (DC at Colorado, DC at UNLV, etc.). As for Hauck’s OC, he’s a guy in his 60s who already did the FBS tour long ago (OC at Boise State, OC at Florida, etc.). These guys don’t aspire to “move up” again at this stage of their lives, and everyone in the FBS knows it.

Whatever, he’s to old! He’s got the personality of a woodtick nobody wants him! When you see him today tell that Oregon St is hiring, I’m sure he’s already talked to LSU

To old, whatever! Nobody wants him representing their university. When you see him today tell him Oregon St is hiring, I’m sure he’s already in discussions with LSU and Florida

It looks like we took your question as a serious question, by mistake. Don’t let the answers get in your way. If your intent is simply to bash Hauck, by all means, exercise your free speech.
