UND-NDSU

Came down to some questionable plays. NDSU wasn’t effective at all, all day. UND had a kick return trick play get called back, after NDSU went ahead. Instead of having the ball around midfield, they got called for an illegal forward pass that brought the ball back the 14. To me it looked like Polasek lobbying the officials initiated the replay. (Might be that I hate ndsu). The initial return man was running upfield toward the left sideline. At the 20y line he pitched the ball to his left by rotating his torso backward. The return man caught the pitch and scooted out to midfield. The officials reviewed it and say the pitch went forward. The guy looked to me that he caught the pitch at the 19.5y line. That to me is one of the most egregious BS penalties I’ve ever seen.

Of course I’m old and don’t know how to post videos.

Just NDSU doing NDSU things. They seem to just kind of go through the motions sometimes in some of their regular season games, but still win. Once in a great while they'll drop a game, but that's a rarity. So now they get a couple snoozers at home to end the season, both will probably be lopsided IMO. Then they'll ramp it up a bit in the playoffs, roll through those three opponents, and square up with whoever in Nashville. This is what I've been saying since August, and I believe it even more so today. I hate this realization, and I really wish and hope I'm wrong. There is only one team in the country that can compete with them in Nashville and make the game competitive. If it's UM, Tarleton, Lehigh... any other team in the country not named MSU, that game is a blowout. I just hope we can get there.

Play the way we’ve been playing and we can.

Play timid and tight and it won’t be us.
