I was thinking they might screw that one up, but I agree that was absolutely the right choice.

Very smart move to hire from the Tricia Binford coaching tree. Happy for Nate, glad they didn't screw it up although it will make the Griz a tougher opponent than they've been since Selvig retired.

It would be really nice to have 3-4 big sky teams in quad 2/3, to help future ranking/tournament seeding. We have twoish in NAU and MSU, would be good to get Montana in the mix, then hiring Nate is a good step.

According to eGriz, Leia Beattie will be joining the Griz staff next season. That would make some sense given her family ties to UM.

Very interesting, MSU recruited Minnesota quite heavily for a few years when Nate was an assistant under Binford and now he's doing the same thing for the Griz. Hard to fault the strategy, MSU has had some great players from there.
