It looks like Mr. FCS doesn't know that the Ivies don't allow graduates to play football. In the Ivies, players don't redshirt, but can, of course, take off a year due to injury. If they graduate before their 4th season, then they can't play their 4th season (in the Ivies). During covid, there was a year, or two, when graduates were allowed to play. So, injured players have to make sure they don't graduate too fast if they want to play their "senior" year.
