Who knows? If the "swelling" in his head went down maybe he could coach the mechanics of QB'ing at the college level.

He's been the butt of so many jokes, I think it would be great if he succeeded.

Leaf was interviewed on the Dan Patrick show today for all those who haven't heard. He actually conducted himself very well during the interview. He handled himself very well when faced with some tough questions from DP. At the beginning of the interview he mentioned that he originally looked for job openings at Montana State and other Big Sky schools. He definitely moved up a few notches in my book even though it was just one interview.

I went to WTAMU for a year and let me tell ya.....there is absolutley nothing there. It will be interesting to see how he does down there. Interesting how he says he quit football. I dont think getting released by team after team until nobody wants you is considered quitting.

I know of a classic first-hand account of a Leaf meltdown at the Coeur d' Alene golf course a few summers ago.

I hope he has changed a lot since then. That time, he left the course after the third hole simply because a friend of mine was kicking his butt while playing with rental clubs. My friend is still a conquering hero to the caddies every time he returns to the course.

I went to the Holiday Bowl in at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA this past December and after Oregon scored its first touchdown they switched quarterbacks. At one point it mentioned on the jumbo screen that the new quarterback for Oregon was Ryan Leaf's younger brother Brady. I don't think the booing could have been any louder. You'd think they'd have known better than to put that up at the stadium where the Chargers play.
