Yeah it was targeting by the letter of the law but a bang bang play. This rule needs some fine tuning.

I understand why they have it and I have no issue with penalizing players for trying to create helmet to helmet or forceful head contact. They just ask so much of the defensive player with this rule. They don’t ever call offensive spearing or targeting either… there has to be a happy medium with this rule.

NDSU with a strong opening drive. What would an NDSU win do to the seedling? Does Idaho move into #1? Or does SDSU stay #1?

Cats looking very good today. Terrific running game. Mellott especially good. Mellott threw well. The NAU D has apparently only had 2 good games this season, and today certainly wasn't one of them. No.10 is a force. The Cats have taken very good care of the ball this season. Far fewer picks than last season. I noticed the very good Cat TO stats when I was looking at the Griz stats earlier this week. Griz have taken good care of ball too, but not as good as the Cats have.
