That was crazy. 0.4 seconds left.

Poor NAU. Haha

Their last 8 losses by 20 points. Multiple buzzer beaters.

If I remember right, I think their football season ended with 3 or 4 heartbreaking loses, including the crazy play to Taco.

Is NAU jinxed?

Watching NAU lose close game after close game is some good perspective for us MSU fans who often seem dissatisfied with the play of our basketball teams who are both 11-3 and in 1st & 2nd place!

On a different night NAU could have swept PSU and swept the Montana road trip-among a few other close games. They lost all those games in mind boggling ways. So interesting in the tournament-they might end up playing EWU in the quarterfinal. That might be interesting. NAU is a team nobody wants to play. They might eventually figure it out.

Did everyone see the play that lead to the Portland State 0.4 play? I don’t know that I’ve ever seen two buzzer beaters at the end of one game. Some of the videos showed the preceding play where NAU canned a long three-pointer to take the lead and the clock went to 0.0. The announcers and fans and players were celebrating the win, when the officials put 0.4 back on the clock, just a tick longer than the catch/shoot rule allows. Nobody seemed too worried about a second buzzer beater — but it happened.

NAU guard Jalen Cone hit a buzzer beating 3 pointer at the end of the first half as well. So.....three buzzer beaters in one game and the team that hit two of them lost.

Craziness.

Whether all of these close contests helps their resolve in the Big Sky tournament remains to be seen. They haven't quit yet.
