Sac vs Weber

We need Weber to shine this weekend. They're home, but it's going to rain. Regardless I see it:
Weber 34
Sac24
Weber 34
Sac24
I agree! I think I posted this question in another thread awhile ago but I know enough to know that if the Cats win this weekend, SDSU wins, and Sac loses... Cats will be ranked #2. Then if SDSU and Cats win out, then end season ranked 1 and 2. Question is, is it highly likely, or absolute that we'd be seeded 1 and 2 as well?
I would not count out northern Iowa against South Dakota Statecatatac wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 7:45 pmI agree! Good question, its not absolute. The committee chooses the seeds based on preset criteria but it's very much based on judgement calls because things are rarely cut and dry.catatac wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 7:45 pmI agree! Totally agree, a definite possibility - especially since it's at UNI. Just looking at hypotheticals. Would be pretty crazy if the CATS ended up with the #1 seed.kwcat wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 8:23 pmI would not count out northern Iowa against South Dakota Statecatatac wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 7:45 pmI agree! Lol no. UM isnt some terrible team. They arent who they thought they were, thats for sure. They have some serious issues when it comes to competing with the best, ie their offense. But, they lost by less than a TD at Sac and Weebs. I've said it before, they are never as good as people think they are and they are never as bad as people think they are. Right now, the gris are ranked appropriately and will absolutely roll over Cal Poly. The real question is, will they break 20k in attendance?
Another factor would be.....did we beat um by double digits or was the score close. The um@WSU score was close but the game not so much. Just looking at the polls of the top FCS teams currently, it's hard to imagine a scenario where IF we win out who would 'jump us'. It'd have to be NDSU (who has an FBS loss and a FCS loss at home), WSU who we beat, or Holy Cross because they're undefeated (whose 'strength of schedule' is 111th).....just don't see that happening.91catAlum wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 8:45 pmGood question, its not absolute. Having said that, if we win out and Sac loses to Weber, I would be shocked if we didn't get the 2 seed.
The only ranked win HC would have is #24 Fordham, NDSU would have 0 ranked wins. MSU would have #5 WSU and #16 um, I think our resume would trump those 2 teams pretty easily. The MICKSTER wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 7:38 amAnother factor would be.....did we beat um by double digits or was the score close. IF Sac wins out I don't see us being ahead of them unfortunately IMHO. However, with their recent record in the playoffs they could easily lose before the semi's and then we'd have home field anyway. GO CATS!!!

Hmmm … it gets so mental. True or not, the Bizon know they can beat us and the Bunnies wonder a bit. It’s a tough compare between Bobcats and Bizons, as both teams have had a bit softer (and similar) schedule than the other top teams. But I’d love to give the Bizon another go, but it’s about time to play one in Bozeman! Go, Weber.
