That is a surprising development. Was he getting pushed down the depth chart after spring ball?

Bummer to hear. I really enjoyed watching Gabe play. Best of luck to him wherever he lands

The kid may have visions of grandeur. He might have been talking to bigger programs and looking to move up. That answer should come pretty quick if true.

Or he's beat to hell and lost his spot on the depth chart. That seems more likely I suppose.

The article said he graduates in May and wants to play somewhere to pursue a graduate degree. I heard at one time he was interested in medical school. We have the WAMI program where the first 2 years of med school are here. He has two years of eligibility so does any think there’s a chance. Lol

I don't know if there's any chance he ends up here. But there's no chance of balancing Med school with being a D-1 Football player. I don't think PT school would be doable either, but @BozoneCat could speak better to that.

I suppose a master's in public health or something like that could be possible.

I asked this question on a different thread; but did he participate in Spring Ball? That would be interesting to know...

I suppose just about anything could be doable, but PT school would be really hard. I worked >80 hours/week in the summers during undergrad, but couldn't find time for a part-time gig during grad school. It's basically the equivalent of working 2 full-time jobs. There's also travel to consider for clinical rotations, but if he stuck around Missoula, he'd be available for the winter session clinical since their team won't be playing after Christmas.

I have no idea why he did decide to leave but he has missed more games due to injury that he played in...(or close to that anyway). I suspect he was being pushed for scholarship money and/or playing time from younger recruits. Initially when he signed I read something that said he'd stated that he'd play 4 years and that would be it as he wanted Med school....I really enjoyed watching him and wish him well.

No he did not participate in spring ball. Electric player when healthy. Just had a tough time staying on the field. The knee problems as well as concussions have made impact. I am sure he will find another program and I wish him well. Sounds like an awesome, humble young man.

Injuries suck. Had all the makings to be one of the best instate college players we’ve seen. Electric every time he touched the ball. Wish him all the best.

I see Sulser is going to the University of Texas. My guess is they'll try and use him as a return specialist. Hope he sees the field!

Ya, that was surprising to see. Didn't think he was one who'd get FBS opportunities. But thats great for him!

The article I saw did not indicate that he was offered a scholarship. Does anyone know if he was given one?

Would Sulser originally have been recruited by Choate to the CATS?

I remember Choate making several indirect comments about some of our current guys consistently smoking Sulser in the conditioning drills

Transferring to Nebska worked out for Samori Toure, he got picked by Green Bay #37 of the 7th round. MAYBE a Mini camp invite (at best), if he stayed with the gris.
