EWU football schedule

Two big money games and only five home games. Looks like more of the same serious financial issues over there.

With the two FBS games, they basically have 9 games to reach that “magic” number of 7 wins to get into the playoffs. They also have tough FCS games with MSU, UM and Weber. Throw in Sac State and a building Cal poly, getting 7 wins without Barrierre is going to be difficult.

Wow, it will be tough for them with the 2 FBS games and tough conference schedule.

As far as replacing Barriere, I would be quite surprised if EWU didn't have another fine QB waiting in the wings. How many seasons in the last 20 have they been bad at QB? Either 0 or 1 maybe.

Do we count as a money game since we bring a ton of fans and they raise the ticket prices for our games? They might make more from our game than the other four home games combined.

Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

Well, of course, they could actually win one of the FBS games. JSU did OK against Florida State last year.

Cats haven't played Eastern in Bozeman since 2018... They do have them at home in 2023.

Yep, that sort of stinks having to go back two straight years... We will just need to beat them two years running. Same as the gris being gifted two straight games at home with us..

Oh well it is what it is...

I am not expecting that trend to continue forever. Changes in coaches, coordinators and offense also make it less likely that they will come up with another All American at QB. Heck, if I was a QB recruit, I would chose MSU over EWU without a second thought. That was not the case 10 years ago.

eags get us two straight years in their house, correct?

Same with the gris, correct. The gris situation is a bit different as they get a benefit from the covid year.

Not quite. They were scheduled to host in 2020 but covid fear took that year away. The switch was the 2021 year which was originally scheduled for Bozeman but they somehow got the BSC to grant them home game to keep the alternating games pattern alive.
2019 Bozeman
2020 Originally scheduled for Missoula, cancelled
2021 Originally scheduled for Bozeman got moved to Missoula

EWU vs. Bobcats got mucked up because of the above, not sure how.

Yeah so with the gris it's us who would've had two in a row at home, and that's why they changed it up.

I'm guessing the BSC master schedule is done in two-year intervals or something, then they re-do it without a lot of thought to the previous cycle, so sometimes you might get some weird situations. I've made master schedules before and it's unbelievable how many different scenarios start coming up if you change one game. We complain about EWU, but I believe Idaho State is coming to Bozeman two years in a row, right?

Yup! I also like that EWU plays UM in WAGRIS right before UM travels to MSU. They always beat the crap out of each other... 8) =D^

From an old article:
Oregon $612,500.
Florida $750,000.

In comparison Montana State received $425,000 from Wyoming and paid Drake and San Diego $275,000 each. So the Cats use the money to guarantee home games, and the Eagles use the money to guarantee they have a football team.

Oregon State will pay the Cats $675,000 for this year's game and the Cats will pay Moorhead State $250,000 for a home game. Are the Cats paying any other teams to come to Bozeman this season?

Don't know why the Beavs agreed to a neutral field for this game. They have to pack their bags and ride a bus for an hour just to get there. All around bad idea imo. I'd be VERY nervous about this game if I were a Beaver fan.
