Their excuse will be that it's from November 2020. And they will also say he's just being attacked by the cancel culture digging up old stuff. They'll also say it's on Venmo and not a social media platform so it wasn't supposed to be public and it was a joke with a friend.

Before the discussions tab was taken away many of us were told by people like @TomCat88 and @iaafan that this is acceptable speech when talking about friends regardless of color. So I’m not sure what the problem is?

….I’m on the side of the line that says you don’t say derogatory terms to each other regardless of race. But what do I know?

Yep. That might be an uphill battle! Dumb move on his part for sure but I’d feel awful for him if he loses his chance at college football because of it.

I don’t know the answers. I hate these situations.

That's probably what they'll do. Drop his scholarship for the fall semester but reinstate it for the spring. By then there will be so many new scandals at the school that nobody will remember this ever happened.

Even if it were (which it is not), those two images pretty much mean he'll never have a chance to play, unless there is a segregated team still out there.

Good on him though for at least addressing it. More than I expected.
