Speaking of Riley Corcoran's over the top homer comments, I was just listening to Nuanez Now and when Colter and Riley are talking about the playoff seeding/bracket Riley complained about how unfair it is that the griz have to beat all four of the top ranked teams to win the national championship.
"That should not happen in a bracket style, like that. The setup is funky that way."

No, it's not funky, you're team is the #6 seed. 6 plays 3, then if they win they play 2, then if they win they play 1. The only funky part is that they have to play the #4 ranked team. But that's if you go by rankings which aren't very accurate at listing the best teams in order anyway. This is also the same guy who at the beginning of the segment said Sac State should have been the 8 seed because they aren't very good.

The best part was when he stopped whining Colter doesn't even really address the argument and attempts to change the conversation. Riley comes back in and takes a shot at EWU while whining again.
Ya, this is such an odd argument to me. Its standard bracket seeding, but griz fans are acting as if the committee intentionally made it harder for them!

If MSU wins, they have to play the #1 seed which is presumably the best team in FCS right now. Just because some people have the perception that the #3 seed is a better team than the #1 seed, doesn't make it so.

I just can’t stand listening to Corcoran. The pubescent cracking voice, the nonstop obscure stats, the over the top homer comments, and his total inability paint an accurate picture of the game all drive me crazy. I’ve never listened to a more annoying radio crew than he and Sundberg. “The Mecca of FCS football… Yahtzee!!!” 🤮

Would love to have a guy like Mitch Strohman. But unfortunately I don’t see Riley moving on to greener pastures anytime soon.
I skip any Nuanez now pod that has Corcoran on it. I just don’t enjoy his takes. While still a homer, I will listen to San Diego Sean Rainey if he's on. His Padres are a little bro to my Dodgers so his Fandom is flawed for college football and MLB. But his redeeming quality is that Herbert is the qb of his NFL team. And we know where his brother went to school.

Federal judge gives the green light for the lawsuit to move forward. There's going to be a trail and I think Shannon is going to get paid. This may cost Kent his job.

The Outhouse just seems to stink a bit more each day...

I would assume Kyndall Keller would have been a key contributor this next season and possibly a starter. Now she is gone.

Maybe would have been a starter if they didn’t land All Conf (and former big sky freshman of the year) player Gina Marxen from Idaho. That was a pretty big get that seems to be having a trickle effect now with Keller moving on. She’ll kick butt at Carroll.

Carroll should be a Frontier Conference powerhouse next season.

With both Sophia Stiles and Kyndall Keller (two former Gatorade players) having been squeezed out and moving on, I’m thinking that very productive pipeline that Selvig built to Malta might be ruptured pretty good. Good place for the ‘Cats to watch for in-state players.

Unfortunately, it’s rare for Montana to produce D1 caliber players these days. UM didn’t know when to pull the plug and now it’s just another program.

CC has been a FC powerhouse for a couple decades now. They lost a lot of good players off the 21-22 team, but will be very good again.

Oh, you are totally right. But there are always a few hotspots you want to keep an eye on, and Malta has been one. I have no idea of their current coaching situation so it may be over anyway. Go Kola and Lindsey, rep Montana well! 💙 💛 😺

Wow, that’s a few zip codes away. Better winter weather than Malta, although it’s better than Missoula, if you like sunshine. Good luck, Sophia.

How is she related to Craig Stiles, the All American Javelin Thrower?

Pretty darn good team too, they were a 12 seed in the NCAAs last year and made it to the second round.

Del Stiles is her dad….which would make Craig Stiles her uncle. Pretty sure that is right but if a Malta local is onboard they can confirm. Kirk Stiles the Carroll College HOF basketball player is Craig’s son.

I saw his throw in Fort Benton that set the all class record that stood for many years (244' 10"). I lived next door to the track. The 2 guys marking throws must not have know who he was because they were standing at about the 150 ft mark when he threw. I still remember them turning and running to chase it down.

All the best to Sophia. I am sure she will be a great representative for the state of Montana.
