I’m looking forward to our power run game against this D. Merrit is really good…but he’s not Ifanse.

I don't know why anyone kicks to Flowers.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

Saw Robby on that play. 3 more tackles.

Their kicker can't kick it out of the end zone. They have given him several chances

That one kick off by Glessner today was something. Clear over the first section of the students.

Hauck on the tackle. Probably gets credit for TFL even though it is 20 yds down field.

Down to the wire. Looking forward to Cats being undefeated when they play both these teams.

Re: Watching ewe tonight
Nail biter but ewu gets the win.
Cam Humphrey got lit up with a clean shoulder hit, and put out on the final drive. But the injury was to his leg? That was weird.
Both teams looked very good at times, and not so good at times. But both are legit contenders.
The griz suddenly go from an unstoppable force, to a 3-1 team that's 1-1 in conference. But I expect they'll run the table the rest of the way until Cat griz.
Hopefully Cam is OK. Kris Brown is a very capable QB in the meantime.

Well, Colter was so sure the griz were going to win that he said “if the griz were favored by 21 he’d still take the griz”
Colter, you do a great job!
Just giving you some crap!

I expected a close game but was pretty shocked to see UM favored by 7 on the road. I don't bet on sports but I'd have been all over EWU +7 at home. This is an exciting year in the Big Sky for sure.

Re: Watching ewe tonight
I think that has more to do with the number of bettors. Odds in FCS are a little weird because so few people make bets, so a handful of bettors from UM can make the books a little funky.

Re: Watching ewe tonight
I am curious to what the TV ratings will be like for this game. For some reason the red field didn't hurt my eyes quite so much last night, so it was kind of tolerable. There is one little thing from the game and that was the attendance. EWU claims a capacity of 8500 but only had 7944 for this game. The last time the Griz played at Cheney (2016) there were nearly 11,000 in attendance. In 2017 MSU @ EWU the attendance was 11,301. EWU is going backwards as far as butts in seats. For a nationally promoted game EWU didn't even need to bring in temporary seating. Over a 3,000 people less than regular season game in 2017. Pitiful.

Re: Watching ewe tonight
My understanding is EWU has miscalculated how much grizz fans are actually willing to pay in face and fees. I don't have exact numbers, but the total cost to get in that game was outrageous. Many grizz fans opted to just watch at home, and it kept out the walk up EWU crowd. Perhaps the total gross was still great, but if they want better attendance, they need to rethink the strategy.Rich K wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 11:00 amI am curious to what the TV ratings will be like for this game. Re: Watching ewe tonight
My take after watching this game,
um's D is fast but based on high pressure, a good QB with a quick release can beat them. Their O looks pedestrian against an average (at best) defense. um has an easy schedule until Cat/fizz, but they will lose a road game this year (UNC, UI or NAU)
EWU has their typical crazy offense but EB makes some bad decisions at times. I would equate their defense with UNC's,
Both teams had injuries to key players that may effect the future of the season.
MSU and UCD seem to be the only balanced contenders, UM and WSU have strong defense and anemic offenses, EWU has a powerful offense and and pedestrian defense.

Re: Watching ewe tonight
I expected to be more impressed with UMs front 7. Dennis Merrit averaged almost 5 yards per carry against them. Obviously, you expect EB to pick apart any D, but I thought EWUs run game was pretty impressive. The "fearsome" Griz D barely held EWU below their average for the year.cats2506 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 12:10 pmMy take after watching this game,

I was pretty impressed by the EWU D. They were fast & very physical. 2 critical INTs...allowed the Griz to score on one drive immediately after halftime, then put the squeeze on & held the Griz scoreless for 27 minutes.
I think UMs inability to stop the run is a good sign for us.

Re: Watching ewe tonight
EWU didn't do a very good job of picking up the blitz especially in the first half. They could have made the friz pay, but then again the receivers didn't help with the dropsies either.
