Longest time for Griz TD drive 1:43.
Their first 4 TD "drives" consisted of a total of 11 plays and a combined total of 3:42 of game time. Unbelievable!!

This game is amazing. Are the Griz really that good or just getting lucky due to Weber not showing up?
I wouldn't say it's lucky. They have capitalized on the HUGE Weber mistakes and played well defensively. Some luck yes but they are playing well.

You're right, they are firing on all cylinders. Weber can't do anything right.

A combination of both I think. Weber couldn't really play any worse, but UM is a very good team. We're gonna have to play close to a perfect game to beat them next Saturday.

Correct sir. Hope today goes well. That will make all the difference.

4th and 1 and they punt down 32? Should be fired on the spot for that call.
Jay Hill should be fired on the spot, eh? Ok...
Obviously that was hyperbole, but that was an atrocious decision.

On a side note, does anyone besides me want to throw up in their mouth, seeing those UM ads in which they refer to themselves as "the flagship"? What a joke!
To be fair, they do have a very large alumni base successfully working in the fast food industry throughout the state .... :coffee:

Weber never had a prayer in this one and it had a lot to do with how well the Griz were playing. Good luck next week.

A lot of their fans genuinely dont understand why we hate the griz so much. It's that kind of arrogance that just seems to be ingrained into UM alums and fans, and it just makes me nuts sometimes. In what world are they the "flagship", when their enrollment is barely half of ours?

In the world where Bobby Hauck is the coach again, and the team is winning again. There is a huge separation between “griz fans” and supporters of the university as an educational institution. Be thankful our donors’ heavy money goes into academic buildings, while theirs goes into football shrines. Apparently by their definition you still retain flagship rights even if the admiral runs the football team, and not the campus. I worked closely with um academic support professionals for years, traveled to workshops with them, helped with some projects, spent a lot of time together both home and away, became friends outside of work, and I don’t ever remember having a conversation with any of them involving football or griz athletics. It was almost as if there was a little embarrassment to admit they even attended games. The true “griz fans” are separated from the reality that is the university. Just my opinion based on my observations.

Well, arrogance aside, UM actually IS the flagship university in Montana.

Actually we are 8-3 going into the brawl.

Weber made some mistakes for sure, but I will give credit where credit is due, a lot of that could be a direct result of the Griz team or them being a bit rattled from the environment, tough to say. I saw the Griz held them to like 150 less rushing yards than they average and they averaged under 2 yards a carry. Running the ball is their bread and butter and the Griz shut it down. I was actually really impressed with what they did to Weber all around.

I think if we did exactly what the Griz did to Weber we’d all be doing cartwheels.

I think Weber's long snapper had big money on the griz...

The griz looked good for sure. But there's a lot of teams that would've beat Weber the way they played that day. And don't underestimate the loss of Josh Davis in Weber's lack of running game.

Yes the snapping or catching by that duo was very bad. That part was strange or off, I agree. It looks like Davis played but only had 9 carries. He was obviously still a little banged up. Averaged 2.9 per run. I remember seeing him each up 300+ a few games ago. He hits the hole faster than many I’ve seen.
