Tried to find the stats for the last few years but had no luck... If 1487 new frosh started, what roughly is the retention rate? Then the new numbers may mean they could be under 7k this year.
When do the new statewide numbers come out?

I was thinking this as well, but there could be other factors affecting this number. For example, if the majority of older students moved off campus this semester, it would have the same effect of lowering the housing applications. But historically and with their own freshman lodging requirements, the vast majority of housing applications are related to the freshman class. This number can be misleading as a result, but I can see another low class for freshman enrolling. Regardless though, fewer people in housing computes to less rental income for the university and contributes to a poor economic situation.

Official numbers come out after the third week of classes (15 class days) from the start of the semester.

Will be curious how much the drop continues and how much ours has increased.

MSU graduated a very large class last year so even with a slight increase in Freshman that they are expecting, enrollment is said to be about the same.

I spoke with some insiders in Missoula, they said that they expect Gender Studies to be up and they may have to lay off a couple coaches. They say the attendance should be at an all time low.

Right up there with the 1898 Cleveland Spiders in the OLD MLB. If it were a ship it would be the SS Minnow... What an utter train wreck!!!

I checked over at Egriz and the handling has spurned some interesting discussion. Both players were highly touted and expected to be contributors in the future. A number of posters are upset that Hauck hasn’t provided an explanation. Others claim that losing the two players is just part of the process.

Funny how Griz posters were making such a big deal about Cat departures this year. These two recent departures bring the number of Griz departures up to 17 since their spring ball. That also doesn’t include a highly touted high school recruit who didn’t arrive for the season.
17 since this spring ball??? Really think this year could be another face plant year for the griz...
You don't seem to understand. When the Cats lose players it's because we have internal turmoil and the coaches are running quality players away for no reason.

When the griz lose players it's because bobby is a no-nonsense guy who is getting their program back on top and if you don't buy into that....well they didn't want you anyway.

Please try to keep up and realize the very huge difference between the two programs and coaching staffs....
😂 POTW right here!
Meanwhile in Missoula...
