Will NDSU Win It Again

Post by Grizaddict » Thu Aug 15, 2019 11:23 am

Many people are wondering if the Bison have what it takes to win it all again. There’s been a lot of discussion saying they are vulnerable since they have a new coach, lost a bunch of seniors, and have a new quarterback. It only seems natural that this would be the year they’d be down.

One doesn’t have to go back very far though to remember this is the exact situation they were in when Kleiman coached his first year. They had just graduated 24 seniors, new coach, new quarterback and all they did was go undefeated and win it all. Crazy really.

Will they do it again? I personally hope not but they’ve showed us time and time again you’d be foolish to bet against them

If any of K/R/B are modding, please move this thread to College Athletics. This forum is for Bobcat football.

Bison third stringers often look better (and are better) than an average 1-AA starter. It's more likely this year than most that they fail to add to their crazy dynasty. But they're still an easy betting favorite.

Just report the post and ask to move it.

Also, NDSU should absolutely be the hands down favorite. This same "analysis" happened when Klieman took over for Bohl too. Their recruiting has remained excellent and they are deep at every position with a depth chart that is mostly made up of seniors and juniors with the occasional standout sophomore/freshman.

I thought it was pretty funny in Colter’s recent interview with Ty where Ty said “we won a playoff game and then might as well have been playing the Packers”. They definitely just reload there. It has been an amazing run. I’m ready for some new champs

:goodpost:
And also note that it had already been moved when you posted this PapaG. There is what is called a "shadow topic" in the Bobcat Football board that redirects to the new location, it has a different icon with the arrow on it. It doesn't get pushed back up to the top of the Bobcat football board when new replies are added here so it falls off pretty quick but it allows people (particularly the original poster) to know where the thread is and that it wasn't just deleted.

ESPN has then as the number 10 team of the last 150 years.

www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/i ... -150-years

That’s going to help them with recruiting. Like they needed it

So I'm curious. Does it get old winning at this level all the time? Is it even fun anymore? I'm sure it is, but don't you have to wonder if you're NDSU just how you'd stack up in the Big 10? I mean, how long have they been FCS? 12 years? It's ludicrous what they've accomplished. One of the great dynasties ever, and it happened fast.

You seriously think they will be at that point by 2319? I don't. Keep thinking positively.

No comment already? Huh only took Bobby one year to have a player in trouble with the law again?

I could see South Dakota State or EWU giving them problems- got to have a team that can match them in the trenches and I haven’t seen that in the last 10 years.

If I had to bet on 1 team, then my money is going on Ndsu. But if you gave me the field vs. Ndsu then I'd take the field this season.

Not directly related but not worth it’s own thread either. Easton Stick looking pretty good for the Chargers tonight!
