Over on egriz they have a post celebrating their first undefeated football season ever in 1969....fifty years ago. Someone else can check to see if there was another one. Anyway, somehow it escaped them after going 10-0 in the regular season they managed to humiliate the BSC and the State of Montana by getting trounced on 12-13-69 in the Camellia Bowl by North Dakota State 30-3. I may be wrong, but that there looks like 10-1

Yeah and they went undefeated the next year, too. 10-1!!! Yeah! Undefeated, man! Check us out! We’re having a Kool and the Gang concert in the Oval! “Celebrate good times, c’mon!”
Come to think of it they were undefeated last year, too. 2-0. Then, after that, they played nine games that didn’t count.

If a 30-3 loss to NDSU was such an embarrassment and humiliation then that absolute ass pounding you guys took last year to NDSU was really something. What was that score again

Several months ago we stopped at Cracker Barrel in missoula on the way back to Post Falls. The gravy on the Chicken Fried Steak was very bland...
There are so many issues going on in his beloved cc of m that one would think just that would keep him away from BN.

Being completely honest, I don't understand the "undefeated" moniker for that team. I mean, it was an all-time great Griz squad, but they certainly didn't finish the season undefeated. Interesting, though, many of the Griz starters weren't allowed to play in the bowl game, because either the University, or the NCAA, wouldn't allow JC transfers to play in post season games.

If you’re gonna open up the MSU/UM vs NDSU history book, then you have to open it up all the way.
MSU has beaten NDSU. In 2005 20-17. Just 2 years earlier UM lost to them 25-24. MSU also beat them in the 1976 playoffs on the road on the way to its second national championship. MSU is 11-11 all-time vs NDSU. UM is 4-5.

WERE. The Griz WERE competitive. Once. Four years ago and then got destroyed by said team in the playoffs just like the Cats did. As for being embarrassed on a national stage and living in the present, the entire institution is taking care of being an embarrassment so congratulations.
Although, I can see wanting to live in the past since that’s when the Griz could punch it in from the one...
