It is reported in the Missoulain today that Griz quarterback, Jason Washington, is out indefinitely after suffering a separation of his throwing shoulder leaving freshman Cole (he didn't do anything to hurt us) Bergquist as the Griz starting QB.

I don’t think Bobby is a great coach by any means, but I am sure that he is smart enough to start his best QB. He was starting Washington, so I believe he is the Griz’s best QB. I think losing Washington is going to hurt the Griz. I really don’t think they will be as fortunate as the Cats when we found a diamond in the rough (Lulay).

I agree with Quast - like Baby or not, you have to assume the head coach knows the better QB to be starting and as unwilling as he has been to even give Cole playing time it tells me there is real concern as to his ability to lead this team.
On the other hand, if Cole goes into Pocatello and has a great game, how is Baby going to look then? Kind of a lose lose situation.

Washington being your BEST QB has to be a scary thought for a griz fan....how do you get much worse than that?

If Cole goes into ISU and have a Lulay type game the heat will be on Bobby for 1 or two weeks, but if they continue to win the Griz faithful will forget all ..... until the Griz lose a game or two and then all of Bobby's sins will come back. If you don't believe me ask Mick Durham. We fans, Bobcat or Griz are a fickle bunch.

For those of you who don't peruse egriz often/at all, I thought I'd share this with you:
One of their members wasn't aware of the injury until he saw mention of it on a post, so he asked whether Washington injured his throwing shoulder or his non-throwing shoulder...
to which I politely responded:
How can you tell the difference?

One of the guys that I work with (big griz fan, dumba$$) said that he talked to Berquist saturday night and that CB says that Washingtons collarbone is broken and that it is not his shoulder like an anonymous tipster told the missoulian.
Either way, the griz are having some serious issues at QB. Must be that superior recruiting of Haucks that is keeping the griz at such a high level.

I saw Hauck on the local newscast. He looked either very irritated and was saying that Washington is not ruled out to be starting Saturday. He could play, but if he does not Cole would be ready to go! I mean the man looked like sitting on a a pike. So..... everyone in Idaho remember Washington mayyyy play

The seperated shoulder is no big deal

It is a day to day thing damn it

Washington will be ready to play.
