so, I am a new to following polls and such, and just want to ask: "What influenced the coaches poll to put the griz up to #3 after having a difficult time against South Dakota?" To me, they did not seem to be a top ten team in that game. Are they given the benefit of the doubt since they win, or what do you feel is the thinking there?

SELA lost badly to Tulane. Granted Tulane is FBS, so it could have gone either way in the polls.

you usually only lose ground with a loss. The pollers only really look at the win, which was against an FCS team. The NDSU game is huge for them.

I was just wondering how the voters will view a probable Montana loss. Do they drop if they lose by less than 14? Do they stay where they are if they keep it inside that margin?

I don't think they'll keep them where they are. I think it would go like this:
Less than a TD: 4-6 in the poll
8-14pts: 6-8
>14: 8-10
I think the only way they could drop any more than that is if they get absolutely destroyed (thinking something like 56-7). I don't think it'll be like that, but that would be the only case the Griz drop out of the top 10.
