From FootballScoop:

Weber State (FCS): Utah tight ends / special teams coordinator Jay Hill will be the new head coach at Weber State. Salt Lake Tribune broke the news. Hill had been on staff at Utah in various capacities since 2001.

Jay Hill is indeed our next football coach, and he is already getting his staff in place, started by knifing SUU's staff

SUU's offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and passing game/receivers coach are heading north to Ogden

As far as I know, the only known current member of the staff to be retained is our Assistant Coach/Linebackers coach Colton Swan, unless they move Pflu to another position, I dont see him staying.

I would take Phlu in a heartbeat. I do like Cramsey, but I think Phlu has more experience.

Yes, because it' such a great idea to go to a 4th OC in 5 years... ](*,) I can't help but think part of the reason MSU didn't get as far as they could/should have with McGhee is this very problem. Note that NDSU hasn't had much coaching staff turnover or scheme changes in a while. Continuity is a good thing and change for the sake of change disrupts that.

That sure doesn't speak well to SUU. What is the view of the various schools in Utah? Is WSU seen as that much better of a place to be?

Weber has (believe it or not) more money than SUU, im sure that's the biggest reason

There is no way that MSU would ever hire Pflu, simply because of his association with the recent "issues" at UM. It may or may not be fair for him to be tainted by that situation, but the reality is that UM fired him because of it, so I can't imagine that MSU would ever consider hiring him. Just like UM would never consider hiring Kramer, because of the circumstances surrounding his departure from MSU.

as an addition, i believe the contracts have to be approved by the BOR, so that would be another huge barrier

I hadn't thought of it from that angle but my point still stands. I really hope Cramsey doesn't get hired away if for no other reason than this team NEEDS continuity.
