ESPN’s “College GameDay” at NDSU

I'm sure most have seen this, but College GameDay is in Fargo this weekend before the NDSU vs Delaware State game. Cool to see the FCS getting this kind of respect no matter what team it is. Maybe a Cat/Griz College GameDay isn't so far fetched. Below is the link to the Fargo Newspaper Article:

College GameDay will never come to Cat/Griz as long as it is on the last weekend of the season because there are so many rivalry games that same weekend. Which leads me to a question-
Would you be okay with the Cat/griz game getting moved to week 4 of the schedule if it ment Collage GameDay would be here for it?... I think I would be okay with it as long as it was in Bozeman and it was only for that one year that they changed the date

If we were to move CAT/griz it should be for reasons that make sense to our schedule and the conference schedule not because ESPN (who condescends the FCS anyway) wants us to.

Cat/fizz was moved to the last game of the year for economic interests only. If we play the fizzles in November when the windchill is below zero and it is snowing.. it will still be a sellout. If we are playing anybody else, the stadium is maybe half full.

Therefore, it will never be moved and GameDay will not go to a location (especially an FCS school) where they are going to freeze their asses off!

I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. I love that it's the last game of the season, primarily because over the past 10 years or so, very often there have been BSC title and playoff implications on the line for both teams. On the other hand, even though I'm no huge fan of ESPN, it would bring tremendous national exposure to both schools.

I think it's funny as hell. If rolls where reversed the over sensitive fans who made a big deal of defending the schools back out would be in Fargo or Wherever and we'd be making signs to put on ESPN. The rivalry and trash talk is most of the fun. And they would never move Cat/griz. It almost always has the conference title and playoff implications. And it's way better to play that game in the cold. It's always pretty much a playoff game, the griz are always tough and it doesn't matter if there in Bozeman or Missoula.
