Griz Kamar Davis Inelligable!?

Post by mslacat » Tue Dec 21, 2004 9:52 am

************** Rumor Alert ************

Of course nothing is official until the fat lady sings, but I here Kamar Davis is academically ineligible after fall Semester, which I think means now. Kamar is going to be taking the classes during the infamous "Christmas intersession", so who knows if he will regain eligibility for Conference. Kamar came with-in a hair of losing eligibility last fall after arriving, but managed to squeak by. As you most likely remember former Griz., Booker, and Mansell both lost eligibility at the end of fall semester in the past but managed to regain there eligibility by late January though the Intersession classes. Does MSU have Intersession classes.
If this is true big loss for the Griz!!

I hope we don't; we're a real college, not one of those places whereby if you pay your fee, you get your B--go to class everyday and get your A. Plus there's more involved in getting admitted than being able to find Exit 105 on I-90.

The "intersession" is a joke and an embarrassment to the University of Montana. I don't know how many other schools around the country offer such a thing, and frankly I don't care. If the administration at UM had a genuine interest in the academic integrity of their institution, they would abolish this thing faster than Kamaar Davis runs from a book. It somehow always seems to help out the griz basketball team, though... strange.

I am thankful that our faculty and administation in the Physical Therapy dept. do not share the same views as the "big boys," and instead we do clinical internships between the semesters.

Seems as if Kennedey's recruits haven't worked out very well, if this is the case.

Hopefully Krysto will bring in some more quality players on and off the court.

Mslacat - Did you see either of the womens' Griz game where they beat an undefeated Florida State or the men's game where they beat a 7-2 Eastern Michigan?

Are these two teams suddenly maturing? Did Camar Davis play in the Eastern Michigan game?
