I’m not at all saying the Griz haven’t won ugly. They certainly have. I don’t pretend to be able to communicate with anyone who is intoxicated on data analytics and random computer algorithms (i.e., “Sagarin” and “Massey” converts). But I do see why the FCS coaches and FCS writers rank the Griz ahead of the Cats. Only in the world of computer games can you formulate a belief that the Cats are somehow prevailing through some remarkably brutal schedule and thereby proving themselves superior to the Griz. Cat-Griz game will settle it.

I am sure this is what you are referring to. The “people in the know” seem to have a real good handle on it!
FCS Playoff Committee Top 10
1. NDSU
2. SDSU
3. Tarleton State
4. Montana State
5. Montana
6. UC Davis
7. Lehigh
8. UND
9. Monmouth
10. Tennessee Tech
PlayerRep looked pretty foolish in this thread.
One out of three ain’t bad (Cats ahead of Griz in one out of three). Hang in there, Cats. Win this week.

Hopefully they do but I heard Bye got a lot of mid season transfers and is pretty tough.

SDSU > UND
NAU > ISU
ISU > Cal Poly
EWU > Indiana St.
San Diego = Idaho
Mercyhurst > CWU
Common opponent:
ISU - MSU 48-14; UM 42-38
Stats: MSU is outscoring FCS opponents by 26.1 ppg. UM 15.0
MSU is outgaining opponents by 188.5 ypg. UM
94.5
You forgot to take out UM’s non-FCS game in ypg part. 65.8
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
