It's interesting how well the big sky newbies played until they met up with and had to play one of the original 9.

I'm not sure what to think about that. On one hand they have to sit there and listen to how this is there season in one game and on the other hand they have to set there and be told how bad they have done all year

UNC beat PSU 32-28 in Portland, that one surprised me a bit. I was not surprised that UND beat SUU in grand forks.

UNC beating anyone on the road (other than ISU) surprises me more than a bit! Bodes well for MSU to get its 7th D-I win next week even if they lose today against Sac.

Watched a lot of that game, I was not impressed with CP at all.webdav wrote:Eastern is rolling Cal Poly.

I fully expect them to play perfectly against us. Those fumbled snaps, dropped passes, and missed field goals will magically be healed.catgrad05 wrote:webdav wrote:Griz survived. Now we're their only goal for the next two weeks and the way to salvage their season.

I've always hated the triple option. It seems like D1 teams with lb's that can run fast should always be able to handle them. They are the BSC team that I have the least amount of faith doing anything in the playoffs.cats2506 wrote:Watched a lot of that game, I was not impressed with CP at all.webdav wrote:Eastern is rolling Cal Poly.

I been holding out hope that CP would be our savior in the BSC race and knock off NAU at home, Now I doubt they can do it and think we are depending on SUU to get us back into it.Weltercat wrote:I've always hated the triple option. Anyone who can figure out what would happen in terms of the automatic playoff bid if NAU loses to CP and MSU, CP, NAU, and EWU all end up with one conference loss probably deserves a Nobel Prize for Mathematics.cats2506 wrote: I been holding out hope that CP would be our savior in the BSC race and knock off NAU at home, Now I doubt they can do it and think we are depending on SUU to get us back into it.

Yeah, I tried and decided that if that happens it will come down to the Sagrin ranking, which currently we have the edge in.MSU01 wrote:Anyone who can figure out what would happen in terms of the automatic playoff bid if NAU loses to CP and MSU, CP, NAU, and EWU all end up with one conference loss probably deserves a Nobel Prize for Mathematics.cats2506 wrote: I been holding out hope that CP would be our savior in the BSC race and knock off NAU at home, Now I doubt they can do it and think we are depending on SUU to get us back into it.

Why does our "season need to be salvaged"?
I am perfectly fine with where it is today, two weeks ago and two weeks from now. MSU is just another game to us and it has been that way for 100+ years. We know whats going to happen, there is more mystery playing Northern Colorado.

Re: Game Scores 11/3
Come on, you don't believe that Alpha! Your season has to be salvaged because you'll finish with a losing record with a loss to the Cats, but you'd be 6-5 with a win. If you believe the MSU game is the same as any other, I'm pretty sure you're the only one. And when a team with the tradition that the Grizzlies have has had a season like this one, most Griz fans are looking for a consolation prize. I have talked to multiple Griz fans who have said it would make a miserable season a little more palatable.AlphaGriz1 wrote:webdav wrote:Griz survived. It might not be a big deal to you, but you're in the minority. This game is always huge, regardless of the circumstances.

Re: Game Scores 11/3
Yeah maybe I am in the minority but I like the fact that some of these streaks are over......not so much for them team but for the idiot Griz fans. I like the fact they cant live in the past anymore. That mentality is why our program has stagnated a bit the last decade and we have slid back to the pack in the BSC.
Its time to weed out the moron bandwagon fans that are 80% of our fanbase and start over with new streaks and winning seasons. I would even be willing to have 2 or 3 losing seasons to get rid of the "good (bandwagon) fans". Our fanbase is embarrassing and they make it hard to like my team or go to any games. I am enjoying their misery this year and that makes up for the fact we dont have a QB this year and are a bit down.
You guys will find out what I mean soon enough if you can have more than one or 2 winning seasons in a row, you are already getting the same kind of idiots flocking to your team, like yesterday in a sports bar in Sidney MT I was talking with a group of "cat fans" from Fairview, Chinook and Malta. They made such awesome comments as "who are we playing today", "What is our QBs name", and my personal favorite after the game was on for a quarter or more......."where are we playing? Sac St....why do we have to go there to play them when we have a new stadium, they should have to come play us there"........
One of them was a hot chick so I over looked it and even bought them a round of beers while wearing my Griz jacket.
I did tell them it makes me a better fan................since I bought them a beer and they didnt reciprocate.

Yeah, I have noticed some of those "New" Cat fans too. Some of the have been complaining about running the ball all 4th quarter yesterdayAlphaGriz1 wrote:Yeah maybe I am in the minority but I like the fact that some of these streaks are over......not so much for them team but for the idiot Griz fans.
