Pretty disheartening to read today that there are well over 2,000 D-1 players already in the portal on the first day. Georgia State's QB, playing for his sixth team in six years, is now in the portal again and petitioning for a seventh year of eligibility. So stupid, so pointless.

And I'm sure I read there are over 3400 that declared before today? It really is crazy. I've heard several say that congress needs to get involved, Colter and others. Such a weird thought that the government should interfere with college football, but clearly the NCAA isn't doing a thing to manage it, so someone needs to step in. It's a runaway train.

What can they do? They have no actual authority and the laws are all against anything that could regulate it.

This screams UIW.

That said a bunch of people are saying he still acts like he's a five star. Thinks it should be handed to him, makes business decisions instead of taking a hit, yells at WRs because they didn't make a catch that he missed on etc etc. Might be some truth to it based on all the transfers.

Yeah this can't be a move up type of situation or there are some really bad film evaluators out there. Which there are I guess.

There are a couple possibilities that occur to me:

1) UM has told him they're going to replace him this off-season for performance. Griz fans almost always say of deporting transfers "he knew he wasn't going to start next year" as a way of coping with the revolving door that their program has become, but it may be true in some cases.

2) Talent evaluators feel Ramos could be much better in a real defense that doesn't run a gimmicky scheme.

I'd be REALLY curious to know just exactly how much he's getting paid, like for sure legit getting paid - and if there are any stipulations. I don't know how any of this works.
