It’s hardly off topic to note that his behavior is no worse than a different president. Those are just facts, not politics. The other commenters above are spot on in their presidential comparisons. Aggie fan here. We’ve been watching all the rhetoric running out of Woods mouth for months. He’s been compared to a sleazy used car salesman. Both Dr. Woods and his brother are self promoting and there have been a lot of questions about money flow for their stadium expansion. The stadium expansion at Cal Expo (for their FBS move) is laughable. Remember, according to Dr. Woods they are the real deal and the rest of us are playing JV football, lol.

I feel bad for Coach Marion. Dr. Wood has thrown him and his program under the bus multiple times. I'm sure Coach is mortified.PortlandCat90 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 7:26 pmMy worthless take on a school President making statements like that:
(1) He holds a high-level (highest perhaps?) position representing what is considered a major educational facility and hundreds of thousands of people. He should be mature enough to realize this and be a professional. Represent with class. Credibility was not bolstered with his interview.
(2) He's what? 5'7", 140 pounds? Ever strap it on? If I'm Marion, I'm pissed and I'm letting Wood know it. The guy has no vested interest in the game, doesn't have to strap it on, and can hide all game long. And after the game. Mr. Mouth. Talk on the field, which he can't do and never did. I don't know the value of bulletin board material, but it isn't zero. And If there is one dude in this conference that can additionally motivate a team off that, it's BH.
(3) Simple question: how would you feel if he were our new President and said this about the Gris or any other team? Makes me even more proud to be a Cat.
(4) Finally....IF you are going to flame in the press...ensure that it brings blood. Panda Bears? Second-grade stuff.
Sad part is that I can't decide who to root for as I watch this game. Ouch.
At least I will get to witness Robin Hauck breaking the single-game unassisted tackle record. Again.

Does that mean that the Cats live rent free in the Gris' head?Cataholic wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 10:19 pmI was travelling this week and had an MSU hat on. Said Cat Gris was the following weekend and it was remarkable that the rivalry was that intense. She said Ohio State vs Michigan has nothing on us.
The rivalry is special. Plenty of for Pandas and Gris!

If they lose to Nut Sac State, they likely fall outside of the top 10, with not much chance to climb, playing the dregs of the Big Sky (BBQ, EWWWW, and Portland St). It's better for the Bobcats to end the season with 2 top 8 (or higher) victories.Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 8:57 amThat would be a horrible interview for anyone involved with the school/football program. But to come from the president of the university?! Woof….
For the seeding implications and general FTG sentiment I have, I’d be happy to see the griz lose.
For the FSS sentiment I’ve quickly gained and to see this guy eat his words once again, I’d be happy to see the griz roll by 30.
Win/win I suppose?

It’s a tremendous rivalry. But the flight attendant was pulling your leg about any “FTC chant” in Missoula. I have missed three Griz home games since 1978. The fans in Missoula don’t chant “FTC” and never have. I don’t imply anything by that. It’s just a fact. And still a great rivalry.Cataholic wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 10:19 pmI was travelling this week and had an MSU hat on. The flight attendant saw my hat and mentioned her son played at Weber. Now we know your lying. As loud as that stadium is there is no way you can hear what another section is chanting.OldGriz wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 6:44 pmIt’s a tremendous rivalry. Speaking of stadium noise, ESPN’s Chase Daniel said after the Idaho game he’s never heard a louder stadium.tetoncat wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 7:56 pmNow we know your lying. I forgot that you are the guy that is policing the entry process and all the sections around the stadium!! My gosh…. You are insufferable…. Listen to you talk! Do you really think that you are in tune with everything that happens in that stadium? That is one the most idiotic posts I have ever seen!OldGriz wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 6:44 pmIt’s a tremendous rivalry. But the flight attendant was pulling your leg about any “FTC chant” in Missoula. No reason to get upset (i.e., the four exclamation points and use of the word “idiotic”). I’m just saying there’s never been a “FTC chant ringing loud” in Missoula against an opponent who was not the Bobcats. The nice lady was pulling your leg. You can ask anyone. Griz fans don’t have a Cat equivalent of ESGGCG at every game. It doesn’t mean one fan base is any better or worse. It’s just the fact.
