Delaney On For Another Year
Looks like the AD at um is supporting Deleaney so unless he retires, they have him for another year. Not a lot of happy campers in zoo town

Re: Delaney On For Another Year
Probably for the best, they need a little stability and Delaney is a class guy, I think that their AD and administration are on a mission to change the culture, Delaney will lay the ground work for the new griz, that is a process that MSU began in 2007. It may be a tough road back but I have no doubt that they will be back contending for titles in a few years. The majority of fizz fans will support this change and make it successful. e-fizz does not represent a majority of griz fans.

I agree with you 2506. A lot of UM fans just don't get it. For the first time in many, many years they are running a tight ship over there. Also, they are probably the best 5-6 team I have ever seen. I could be off but I believe their two biggest losses were by 9 and 10 points. They were probably a player or two away from being 7-4 or 8-3. Delaney is a class act and I actually hope he does well over there.

I actually thought that Sac State was the best team that we faced this year, with the gritz being the second best.LTown Cat wrote:I agree with you 2506. A lot of UM fans just don't get it. Re: Delaney On For Another Year
Give the frizz a decent qb and that probably gives them an extra win or maybe two. They had just so little passing threat. Their secondary could use a little help too.
They really aren't that far away from being a juggernaut again.
They interesting thing for them over the next couple years will be how much the NCAA sanctions, if any, and the stability of the coaching situation will hurt recruiting. If it is significant it will take them some time to get back to powerhouse status.

I wouldn't say they are close to being a juggernaut, but they will be back in a few years I assume. I don't think Delaney is a very good head coach (some complete bonehead blunders this year) but as others have stated, he is a classy guy and exactly what that program needs... Doesn't seem like he's going to let that culture fester over there any more.Bobcat4Life wrote:Give the frizz a decent qb and that probably gives them an extra win or maybe two. Re: Delaney On For Another Year
Excellent posts all around. I have no problem with Delaney for another year. I would have no problem with another 5-6 year if the ship is righted and the right culture of accountability is established. In fact, it might drive some of the bonehead bandwagon fans to Bozeman and you guys could deal with them. Certainly had some WTF moments with the coaching this year, but I saw them 2 years ago with Pflugrad, saw them Hauck's first year, and also saw them with Glenn (10-9 home loss to Hofstra). The wheels came off in some games. We were in every game and leading every game. I don't know if we will be a juggarnaut, but we will be better next year, but I think our schedule is harder next year too.

I think SUU was better than the griz. But sac was definitely the best.allcat wrote:I actually thought that Sac State was the best team that we faced this year, with the gritz being the second best.LTown Cat wrote:I agree with you 2506.
