Lulay NFL Europa

Post by jhagemeister » Mon Dec 04, 2006 2:25 pm

Now that the season is over I'm kind of wondering where Travis Lulay is these days? The last I had heard he was released from the Seahawks. Does he have a chance at playing in the NFL Europa? If so, I'd for sure go and watch one of his games this coming season.

He has been back at MSU finishing his degree and helping out with the team all season. I know several home games I saw him coming down from the coaches boxes so I am assuming he was up there for most games.

He got a second look from the Seahawks when Hasslebeck went down but did not resign and he had a tryout with the Dolphins about a month ago in which he reported to the paper that they kept him an extra day and told him they were very impressed. I would bet on him being added to a team when rosters expand and being optioned to NFL Europe.

I think he had a call from the Giants a while back. Personally I hope he gets to finish his degree since it's so late in the semester (and it's all he needs to graduate) and gets the call to play NFL Europe- great experience and then he can come back for NFL spring camps.

I would love to see him give up NFL football and begin his coaching career as OC at MSU. Imagine the possibilities.

there is a former IAA undrafted guy named Romo who is currently doing pretty well playing for the cowboys...he was a second/third stringer for over 4 years....

It's just a matter of time for our red haired wonder!

I would love to see Lulay in NFL Europe. I think he would do well there, and hopefully really progress as a throwing QB so he could get another legit shot in the NFL.

Either way good luck to TL.
