Who starts at Cat/Griz?
If there is a healthy Cory Carpenter in time for the Cat/griz game, who should start at QB? Carpenter or Rolovich?

I don't think there is any questions that Rolovich gets the start. He is 4-0 as our starter and making the switch back to Carpenter now would be a big change. They play with completely different styles and I don't think Cory was playing well enough prior to the injury to warrant the change back.
How different could 2 QB's be though? Jack is everything Cory wasn't as far as making our passing game more vertical but is way more dangerous IMO. His play reminds me a little of Brett Favre's in that they make throw for 400 yards and 4 TD's but they will mix in a few terrible decisions (see last weeks INT in the endzone on our first drive) along the way. If Jack can keep the poor decisions to a minimum, he is the man to get in done in Missoula.

The reason I started this was because of something in the Chronicle about it. It went like this:
"BOZEMAN (AP) — Montana State quarterback Cory Carpenter, who has missed the past four games with a high ankle sprain, likely will be back on the field in time for the Cat-Griz football game later this month, the school said Monday."
I'm not sure if that means practicing or what, but I think Rolo better start in a week and a half.

As the holder on PAT and field goal tries is my bet.longhorn_22 wrote:The reason I started this was because of something in the Chronicle about it. It went like this:

Rolovich has led the offense to victory in each start. Much like Lulay did when Thomas was replaced. The team is confident now, and Kramer WILL NOT replace his QB unless it is a total debacle in the 3rd quarter late...and then he might not.
Rolo has 2 weeks to practice his reads and rythym with the WR's and it will show on the turf of WAGr.

He was on the field last week against Northern Colorado. The Chronicle is just a little slow!barechestcat wrote:As the holder on PAT and field goal tries is my bet.longhorn_22 wrote:The reason I started this was because of something in the Chronicle about it. It went like this:

Exactly - and of course Kramer wants to make sure Bobby knows that Carpenter is 100% healthy - so they have to prepare for both, because as others have stated - they are very different. I agree that we should have a series called to bring Cory in. We can copy the Griz on that one, after all - they're roll-out punting now!!!longhorn_22 wrote:The reason I started this was because of something in the Chronicle about it. It went like this:

Since we have Cory back, maybe we can use Rolo for punting again. That almost assures us a good punt, as the D will be looking for a pass every time.
Of course, I hope we don't have to punt in this game....

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
