well?

the Cats definately played to the level of their competition. with this year's road vs. home record / performances - i'm glad Cat/griz is in missoula (though the Cats don't win if they perform/coached like they have the last few weeks).

anyway - not sure what to say about today other then its a W....

I don't have much, but a few things.

-Evin Groves had a nice game running for 132 yards (I think) and the Bobcat offense did a decent job running. The offense did what Kramer wanted them to do: run the ball. The passing game wasn't great today.

-The defense did ok. Clive Lowe came out and had a good start. They held Northern Colorado to three points for 55 minutes of the game and had only one big penalty, so that wasn't a bad effort.

-Special teams was good today. Hastings' two field goals were huge, and the roll punt worked today. Kicking off into the end zone worked great, and I think coverages were good.

All in all, Northern Colorado came in here today and threw everything they had at the Bobcats, and turned it into quite a game. They did a really good job with all of the adversity and sadness they've had to endure this season. And as some have said, it may not feel the best, but a win is a win, and the Bobcats are still alive. The showdown looms in 2 weeks.

One of the worst calls ever on that interception in the endzone. Unfortunately it shouldn't have been that close anyway. Another interception in the endzone in the first half. What was Rolovich thinking?

Maybe the soft field helped UNC which runs a lot of misdirection kind of stuff plus our speed was negated? UNC's offense only had a handful of plays that worked-that last touchdown was pretty flukey-with a 4th a forever on that drive turning into first down on a defensive face mask.

UNC played really hard and never gave up-despite a steady stream of injured players, including their mammoth quarterback, going out.

We really suck inside the 10 yard line. Heck we really suck on the 1 yard line-remember the Colorado game? We also sucked going for it on a 4th and one. Man did UNC blow that play up.

Why can't we run the ball on second down. All game long we'd get 5 or so on a Groves run on first down and then we'd empty the backfield and throw on second? Why not just run it twice and get to a 3rd and 2 or so?

We just didn't have any big offensive plays.

Nice interceptions on a couple of very ill advised UNC passes. Good job db's.

We avoided the pre-griz loss. It wasn't pretty but a win is a win!

I agree on Rolo's first interception-what was he thinking? Our receiver was covered entirely that entire play. Throw it away and take the three. Really, the score of this game should have been 23-3. Not a blowout, but my heart rate would have been a bit lower.

Really the nicest part of the game was afterward when all players from both teams knelt at mid-field together. I don't know what Kramer said, but he addressed both teams and then they prayed. That was touching for me and made me feel proud of MSU and our kids, as well as Coach Kramer. I did not see it, but also heard that Kramer gave the UNC kid whose brother died a hug.

Oh man, that was awesome. I want those and F-16's to flyover every other game next year. Damn that is cool.

I kept saying this as well. RUN THE F'IN BALL! The line was getting a pretty good push almost every down. I think this is the one thing about Bailey I DO NOT like. I think he tries to get too cute deep in the red zone. Run the ball on first and second down inside the 5. Use some mis-direction, maybe spread them out with 4-5 wideouts and run a draw, or a QB draw. Something.....

that is one area we should have ran the football. honestly i thought kramer was being way 2 nice to northern colorado with all the running he was doing. as a team we were 2 nice to them, we should ahve stuck a knife in them in the first quarter *pun intended*

Without the picks this game is a blow out. Rolo was inconsistent and made some poor throws. The first pick was a bad decision and should have only been thrown in the back of the endzone. Two weeks to work on it before the big one.

Crowd of over 13,000. It took a long time for all of them to show up-people still coming in late in the 2nd quarter. Probably because of the earlier start?

Yes. The tailgate was sad before that game. But after the first half, it was rockin'.

There is something about Bozeman but nobody there knows how to tell tome. When I used to work in the ticket office we would laugh about it. Everyone comes five minutes late and then expects to be able to get in and sit down without problems. Basketball games are the same way. Can't anybody show up on time any more?

Absolutely ZERO consistency or continuity on offense. There was one drive late in the game where we stuffed the ball down UNC's throats. That was the only bright spot of the entire game for me. Of course that particular drive ended in the worst call of an INT of all time. But.......we should have been so far ahead of this team that that call should have been a non-factor. I know that our coaches grade our players on their performances and therefore have got to see that when we run straight at people, we are successful. Give Groves/Mason/Taito the ball and RUN straight at the defense!!!!! Establish the run and do it some more. We can do it.

I was really disapointed with our receivers and their route running today. It sucked. ONCE, I saw Jefferson run the corner off and allow our TE to slip in behind him for a nice gain up the Bobcat sideline, but that was about it. Our WR's need to keep moving and get open if Rolo needs to scramble.

I have seen each game, live in Bozo and on tv for road games. I think that our offensive skill players are as talented if not more so than any other team we have played. All of our receivers can really run. All of our recievers catch the ball very well. Heck, they have shown a tendency to block downfield for each other. Out TE's match up with any BSC TE. Our RB's are better than any BSC RB! Rolovich is a good QB. Our line does a decent job, even though I think they miss a bunch of assignments, but they do a really good job for the most part. We should be ppppppppounding people. Bailey's butt puckers up big time when we get to the RedZone. JAM IT DOWN THEIR THROATS, YOU JUST GOT DONE TEARING THEIR HEADS OFF, GETTING INTO THE REDZONE. I do not think that this team can stand prosperity. They win in spite of themselves.

I love the Bobcats! I will always scream loud and proud for my alma mater. I am though, disgusted with the way this team plays. We have the talent to beat anybody. JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

Our defense continues to be stellar and keep us in position to get the wins. Great job DEFENSE

I suppose there's an unwritten rule that you give the guy who got you down there the opportunity to score. But in 4th quarter Groves was sucking wind. He had 31 carries and there's no way he's in shape after being out for so long. How about give it to Taito down on the goal line. He's fresh, runs hard and runs straight ahead. Hindsight's always 20/20, but I think Taito deserves a little glory-give him the opportunity to score.

Rolovich was probably wondering why Coach Kramer was chewing him out during the timeout rather than coming up with a play that would get us a touchdown. I don't know if Kramer thought Rolovich was showing him up by throwing his hands in the air and running off the field after the coaches failed to get a timely play call in or what. But Kramer was in his face the entire timeout. Not real good positive reinforcement before sending your starting QB out for a critical play.

The Bobcats have to waste timeouts way too often due to the fact that the coaches can't get the call in on time or don't know what they want to do (i.e. go for it or kick). I can't see how that is the kids problem.

Rolovich may also have been thinking that he had to get the ball to Jefferson no matter what because Kramer had, in his own words, chewed Jack out all week about getting the ball to Jefferson no matter what because he is a "playmaker".

I for one am growing tired of Kramer's act. Jack did a great job of hitting multiple receivers in the Weber State game. He may have missed Jefferson when he was open on several occations but he still made plays. The part that bothers me the most is the fact that he calls the kid out in the media rather than handling it behind closed doors in team meetings where it should be.

Kramer did the same thing with Bobby Daly in his post-game radio interview with Atteberry. Kris said something to effect that if he called Daly's name on a tackle at the end of every play, he would probably be right about half the time. Kramer said he didn't care how many tackles Daly had; that he was more disappointed in that he didn't perform at the level he was supposed to. Hell, if he had 10 more Bobby Dalys on the defense, no opposing team would ever score!

Kramer should worry about the offense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am pleased with the decent special teams play and thought the defense held very well and put us in a position to win the game once again. I think Rolo is a longgggg way from being a good quarterback but he can play. Our offense is marginal for another year.....can't count how many it has been now.
