I feel sorry for Cory Carpenter getting injured like that and I hope he heals quickly. As for Rolovich, he just seemed comfortable being in there today and his throws were crisp when they needed to be and had touch when needed. We saw how good Cory played in CU when he knew he was going to be the starter going into the week of practice beforehand. Hopefully Rolovich will respond the same way and play with poise and confidence next week.
One last though, that interception thrown by Carpenter was possibly the worst pass I have seen since the Cade McNown era for the Chicago Bears. That said, Cory played with great poise early in the game and hopefully he heals quickly.

I hope Cory can come back quick. We need two guys just in case smeone needs to be spelled for a play or two. It would suck to loose Rasmussen's red shirt becuase Rolovich got the wind knocked out of him and needed to be spelled briefly.

I too hope Cory heals quickly. But I am also looking forward to seeing what Rolo can do. It sure seemed like the field got verticle in a hurry once he got in there. And it opened up some of the shorter stuff, as the D almost immediately became concerned about the deep play. I think Rolo quickly got Portland's defense back on their heels. If he and Bailey can get some rhythm going with some good play calling (no late calls coming in sideline), I actually expect Rolo to light it up. He is not afraid to thread the needle, but he throws some damn nice balls DOWN the field. Wouldn't be surprised to see a pick here and there, but I think Rolo can quickly redeem himself with a big play. A lot of time with the 1's in practice will definitely help. I think he can excel on timing routes, he has a quick release and his accuracy looked great. I wouldn't be surprised to see this be the turning point for the Cat O.
