The news report was wrong!!!!
I know that you don't believe everything that I have to say but believe this. I am posting this at the request of Al.
Big Al Beye did not and is not the person that forged checks. I will repeat... It was not Al. He has gone to the police station to check into this and they couldn't find what the TV station had reported. He has also notified the school that this report is not true.
I asked him what the cops said about this and they told him that all he can do is file a lawsuit. Boy that is special!!!
He is going to go to the TV station to ask them where they got their information. I don't think you can understand what this has done to this wonderful young man. Just imagine yourself in this situation and it is posted all over the news and it is not true. Everyone that saw that TV report is not going to get the truth and they are forever going to believe that he did this.

The TV Station better damn well do a retraction, if this is so.catmom wrote:I know that you don't believe everything that I have to say but believe this. I am posting this at the request of Al.

That might legally fix it, but not necessarily publically or psychologically. Go get 'em lawyers, give 'em hell Al!mslacat wrote:The TV Station better damn well do a retraction, if this is so.

Re: The news report was wrong!!!!
Catmom... I respect your posts but I need to know where you get so much reliable information? It's not that I don't believe you have reliable sources and not that I believe everything in the media is 100% accurate, but, I think it's best we let these things sort themselves out in the various athletic departments, courts, etc. before making a post that may lead to more rumors and half-truths. I certainly hope the accusations are not true, however, believing that most people in Bozeman would recognize Al Beye from a mile away, I would think that if an impostor showed up in court claiming to be Al that someone would certainly question it. Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth.

I am a little confused myself.old wise one wrote:I agree grzh8tr, and furthermore for Catmom to insiuate that two other players have done something wrong in the Davis situation is absolutely ludicris.
I agreed with the idea that the cops in the last big case were way too quick to implicate and spread the names of people who may have had nothing to do with the situation, and catmom seemed to lead the charge on that front (to her credit).
But now, I'm not really following how we can be consistent while calling for the roommates of Davis to be dragged into this discussion.
I am particularly troubled when the inconsistency seems to break hard based on whether catmom likes that person or dislikes that person, as seems to be the case here based on the content of previous posts.
I think a good brightline rule of thumb is that only those with solid evidence of any wrongdoing (as per an authoritative source) be dragged through the mud on a bulletin board. That will keep this free and open forum of ideas and opinions from turning into a place where emotions are allowed to implicate potentially innocent people.
Just for the record, this has been the way we have been running the board since inception, and we have deleted several posts in the past for exactly these kinds of things.
And for the love of Hey Zeus, can we please stop having incidents like this around MSU athletics for the next 100 years or so? It's sickening and so incredibly disappointing on so many levels.

Well, in another thread, I commented on this situation. I'm glad to say I was wrong on this one. I'm glad Al Beye has been cleared and I'd like to apologize for that. And I'm also glad that Al Beye is still the great guy that we all have come to know. So I officially retract my earlier statement.bozbobcat wrote:Al Beye's problem came as a complete surprise to me. Al always seemed like such a great person and a nice guy, but I guess he has some issues as well. I hope this does not lead to a deportation type of situation. I also think that he should repay every bit of the money that he took from his roommate.
GO CATS!

No official word other than what was reported on the news. Someone said it wasn't him, someone else said the case was old - from June, but happened to be released with the information about Davis. I am sure if someone wants to review the public records we can find out the truth, but I don't think it is worth it. The bigger concern is Davis!!couloir41 wrote:well now i'm confused...what is al's status...did he screw up or not...or has it been resolved and i missed it...???? very confusing...!!

THANKYOU!!! when i said this months ago people were all over me. i don't want to lay any personal attacks, as i don't know here personally...although for the record, i DO feel like i'm about 90% sure who she is, i think it's just weird the relationship she has with the players.CatGrad00 wrote:There is definately something weird about Catmom....hangs around the players WAY to much and is WAY to friendly.old wise one wrote:I agree grzh8tr, and furthermore for Catmom to insiuate that two other players have done something wrong in the Davis situation is absolutely ludicris.

Alright, points all well taken. Now let's move on and get back to discussing Bobcat Athletics. What the HELL is it any business of you to speculate on "the weirdness" of anyone on this board. By definition all of us would be considered weird for posting on this board and being so caught up in Bobcat Sport. The expressions "get a life" and "sports geeks" come to mind. I do find it somewhat offensive that we are not to allowed to critique our basketball coaches, a little bit more latitude is given to critique football coaches, but bobcat posters are fair game for accusations.whitetrashgriz wrote:THANKYOU!!! when i said this months ago people were all over me. i don't want to lay any personal attacks, as i don't know here personally...although for the record, i DO feel like i'm about 90% sure who she is, i think it's just weird the relationship she has with the players.CatGrad00 wrote:There is definately something weird about Catmom....hangs around the players WAY to much and is WAY to friendly.old wise one wrote:I agree grzh8tr, and furthermore for Catmom to insiuate that two other players have done something wrong in the Davis situation is absolutely ludicris.
Say what you want about catmom, but she does care about our athletes. She tends to put the athletes need above those of the coaches and programs, and I believe that is her (I think it is safe to assume catmom is a she) right to do so, just like it is the right for some of you guys to take the attitude " the coaches are always right and justified". I tend to take the middle ground, but someone needs to be the voice of the student athletes, because whether you want to believe it or not coaches are hired and fire based on performance and when push comes to shove whose interest do you think a coach is going to look out for.
I don't always agree with catmom but she is serving a good purpose, and I respect her for that!
