Tailgate Policy Clarification

Post by msusportsinfo » Thu Aug 31, 2006 11:32 am

Greetings Bobcat Nation!

We've been getting a lot of questions about RVs, trailers, campers, U-Hauls, tents, canopies etc. so I thought we'd better clarify what the new policy states.

Trailers (flat beds, horse, U-Haul type), tents, canopies, and RVs will not be allowed in the interior of the tailgate lot this year. There are spaces set aside for them along the fance lines. The spots are larger than the normal parking spots (20 X 20) and can be reserved through the ticket office. If you plan to bring any of these in to the tailgate lot, you better call tickets and reserve your spot. If the spots are full on game day, you won't be able to set these up in the interior.

Again, because of the growth of tailgating, we needed to make a decision as to where to put these structures for safety purposes. Thanks.

Please contact us at info@msubobcats.com if you have any questions.

Never mind, I found the answer on msubobcats.com go here. It only pertains to the standard lot, not the booster side as much as I can tell.

Sorry we didn't clarify that very clearly--this policy applies to the Standard Lot only.

"Can't By Me Love..." Beatles; However, you CAN obviously BUY a substantially different measure of tailgating standard...

So here's a dumb question I should probably know (and the answer is probably obvious): What does it take to park in the "Booster Lot"? Any level of membership in the Booster Club? A special sticker on your vehicle? Offer of your first born offspring to MSU?

We've always parked in the standard lot with no concerns, but may want to move?

I can't remember what the new name for it is. But, you need to be a "Silver" booster level ($400.00). That gets you one premium parking pass on the booster side. You can purchase additional ones for $50 for each additional one.

The new name is "Letter Winner".
