New power forward coming?

A little scuttle butt:

A friend told me we have a new 6-6 power forward who will be joining the Basketball team. I don't know if this is a high school, or JC. Their is a chance he might have been talking about 6-5 Jonathan Malloy who was mentioned earlier, but Malloy has been described as a guard/forward type. I also hear that ex-Stevi. high school player Daniel Creech was on campus last week or so. Creech has been playing for a Oregon JC averaging 25 points and 10 rbs, but is a 6'-6", 250 lbs, and is a sophmore as far as elligiblity this year. I know Daniel, and he is D-1 elligible. I think Daniel would dominate at the Frontier level, but just have not seen him play in the last few years enough to know if he could play D-1. I also hear a rumor in June that we may be looking at signing a Calif. JC player named Phillip Jones a 6-6 power/small forward. Jones was a late qualifier who did not complete his AA Degree until early June.

Again this is all rumor, and I do not know who this potential player is if there is one.

This just in from MSU:

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- The Montana State men's basketball team added
depth and versatility on Wednesday when prep standout Jonathan Malloy and
junior college transfer Donovan Schultz joined the Bobcat team.
Schultz, a 6-8 forward originally from Denver, averaged 13 points
and nine rebounds a game at Otero Junior College in Colorado last season.
Previously, Schultz earned All-State honors at Denver's George Washington
High School.
Malloy, from Centennial High School in Compton, Calif., played on
the Lamar Odom I Can All-Star AAU team over the summer, averaging 20 points,
seven rebounds and five assists a game. The 6-5 forward earned all-league
honors as a senior at Centennial.

Look like a couple of quality recruits. Here's to turning around the attitude towards men's b-ball.

Donovan Schultz is described as being between 6-6 and 6-8. Schultz played his first year at Northeastern JC in Colorado, and Otero JC in Colorado his second year. Below is a little info on Donavan. Notice who his high school coach and his biggest influence was ..... our own assistant basketball coach Shawn Dirden.
