2007 Cat/Griz at Bobcat Stadium

Post by BobcatBulldog » Fri Jul 28, 2006 4:02 pm

I was picking up my tickets from the Fieldhouse today when I had a thought.

Bobcat fans need to get on the ball right now for the 2007 Cat/Griz, because if the fans buy up the stadium this year than they will have first right of refusal next year and won't have to worry about the griz buying up all of the tickets for one game. Also they won't have worry about calling up friends to see who has extra tickets. "I hate those people"

Be responsible now so we can rock the house for the near future.

Is it even possible to buy tickets a year and a half in advance?

I think he means purchase a season ticket for this year and that way you will have a guarantee of being able to purchase that ticket for next year.

For what it's worth, the whole rumor of Griz fans buying Cat season tickets just for Cat/Griz last year was really overblown and I have not actually heard from a single person that did this, much less the multitudes that were rumored.

Oh, I get it...yeah, I think the large majority of Griz fans at the game the last couple of times have been ones who bought their tickets out of the UM allotment. You're never going to get a situation where 100% of the stadium is cheering for MSU.

I wouldn't worry about 2007 if I were you. This years Griz team is going to kick the Cats all the way into 08! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Just like a griz kicker to miss the big one (2007)!

I know of at least 3-4 different Griz fans (2 tickets a piece) where I work here in Billings that bought Cat season tickets last year in order to get the Cat/Griz ticket. I don't think it was out of control, but there were some Griz fans that did it that is for sure. Of course I'm sure they were a little mad at the end of the season after watching the Cats whip the Griz in Bozeman.

I'm all for the Athletic Department collecting money from Griz fans so that they will once again witness Bobcat fans storm the field here in Bozeman. I am a little disapointed that I will have to deal with ugly maroon in the sea of blue, but I do love mocking fans that have little to no chance of winning here in Bobcat Stadium. Yes, it's a whole year plus away, but this is a place you just don't come into and win. It only allows us to keep building a better stadium/program. Let's just say I can't wait for football period, and if we get to deal with somebody spending money on tickets there never gonna use this year to see one game next year, MSU will gladly take their money.

Family is family forever, until they become a Griz fan.

Yep, it's a free country. Let em buy them. Let them help fund our program/stadium/additions.

Chances are they are buying them and selling them to Cat fans for all games except Cat-Griz. I don't have a problem with that.

I actually bought some from them last year (and were given a couple as well) so yeah that is why I don't really have a problem with it. MSU fans need to buy season tickets though so they can have Cat/Griz every other year. You can get season tickets (52.00 PEPSI ZONE). Keep in mind that the Colorado/MSU game is 52.00 by itself? MSU football season tickets a very good bargain (excellent family entertainment value)!!

I should be in marketing eh? ;)

That's why we take off the Maroon glasses a couple times a year and go to Bozeman for a game.

Ok this has been taken out of context, I am not saying that MSU should ever turn away someone who wants to purchase season tickets. What I am saying is that Bobcat fans have the ability to purchase season tickects now and then they will have the right to them next year, which would mean that there will be no season tickets to be purchased by apposing teams fans because we packed the house.

I hope I made that as clear as mud

:D

Either way I have season Tickets its 32 days to kick off and I can't wait.
