Nashville Attendance

Post by kwcat » Sun Dec 28, 2025 7:45 pm

What is your guess? I know the city of Nashville is supposed to be promoting the game outside of the teams attending.
Do we break 20,000? 25,000?

I’m guessing 16,000.

Looks like the listed attendance in Frisco over the past ten years it's usually just under 20,000. Will be really interesting to see what it's like in Nashville, without any DSU teams in it.

It appears that Illinois State is having a hard time just selling their allotment. I am guessing it will be 80% Bobcat crowd.

My realistic guess is 7,000-10,000 ISU fans since Normal Illinois is only 6.5 hours away, and 13,000-16,000 MSU Fans. So anywhere from 20,000 to 26,000. That would be a solid turnout for MSU against a non -DSU school!

My guess 13,577 MSU fans and 5,500 ISU fans and 1,000 general fans

Total attendance 20,077

I read on their message board that they have a pretty substantial alumni system that they think will be contribute to a large crowd. I’m guessing upper 20’s. 27k I know there will be 6 in our group.

The largest attendance that Illinois state had I believe was around 11,000 in an early season game. Their homecoming was about 7000 in attendance. I am curious how they will travel? Maybe their numbers will be higher with Nashville being a destination and their team in the national championship. Montana State probably had 13,000 or more in Frisco last year. I am hoping we travel better.

I have friends that are lifelong North Dakota State fans that plan on keeping their tickets and going to the game as well

I'm wondering how many Bobcat fans were dissuaded from making advance travel plans after MSU lost to SDSU and started 0-2, and now aren't going to Nashville based on the high last minute travel costs. This is the case for one group of 4 I know who went to Frisco in both 2022 and this past January. Overall I'm expecting a pretty similar overall attendance number to what it was in Frisco.

ISU has an enrollment of about 22,000. Back in 2014 when they played NDSU in the title game, it looks like they had about 5,000 fans in attendance. I'm basing that on the stadium holding 20,000 and it looking like they had about 25% of the fans in red. It's a much easier trip and a much better destination this time. I would say they'll have around 7-8,000. Seems like MSU should have more than it had last year in part due to the win over UM energizing even more people and, again, the better location.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I know several of those as well. Most of those are in the dislike Hauck as a coach camp incidentally.

Anyone receive their tickets that got them through MSU? I think the email said they would be issued today...hoping to get our tickets ASAP so we know where to purchase additional tickets for family members.

It does look like Illinois State released their unsold tickets back, I see the top 4-5 rows on the home side available in all sections now.

The listed attendance for last year's game is 18,000. If that's accurate, you're saying the Cats had 13,000 and NDSU had 5,000.

Yes, I think 12-13k is accurate. MSU had waaayyyyy more fans than the bison. It shocked me.

Again reporting from my North Dakota State friends. That sat in the end zone. They thought the crowd was about 2/3 Montana state. That was their input.
