No. 8 UC Davis vs. No. 9 Rhode Island

Maybe this has been talked about already but couldn't find it. I think this game will be won by Rhode Island maybe a close one though but I would put my money on RI.

The CAA is pretty weak, I think Davis rolls pretty easily.

RI is a perfectly reasonable prediction. I'm sure they're pissed they go 8-0 in conference, win 10 games, and outscore opponents by 412-249 and still play over Thanksgiving. Man alive has the CAA fallen in the last decade. There was a time when that resume would have easily been a top 4 seed.

I like Davis though. I think the bye week will help and Plough should have his guy ready to go. The BSC really needs this win.

This is what I think, too. Davis wins big. RI might score some points later to make it look closer.

Rhode Island was undefeated in conference, but didn’t play Villanova, Monmouth, or William and Mary. They did play New Hampshire and Maine, for what that’s worth. We saw how good Maine was, in person, last year, and New Hampshire got beat pretty badly at SDSU last week. Also, last year they got beat badly at home by UT Martin. Then UT Martin came to Bozeman and got trounced.

Out of conference in FCS, Rhode Island played Long Island, Holy Cross, and got beat by Brown. I think the committee punished for not even trying to play a decent OOC schedule.

Might get in the kitchen and cook up some parlays. Davis -5.5 will be the lynchpin of them all. The best team URI beat was UNH who just got housed by SDSU. They lost to Brown for %$*# sake.

I agree. Plus that's not an easy road trip for URI.

Pinnick will have the defense frustrated.
