There were 73 teams there that did not score, including: Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, Stanford, Notre Dame, West Point, Navy, Purdue, TCU, Boise State, ND State, Utah State, Long Beach State, and Colorado. And 150 D1 teams could not get any men in the meet. It's going to get tougher because the haves can increase scholarships this fall from 12.6 to 45 for men's track if they want to, and recruit the planet. Winning for most programs means getting better, and recruiting better. There's some uncertainty about the future of the sport for some universities. A distance runner signed with MSU recently saying that MSU is considered a stable program, able to continue and improve.
