TRANSFERS
We know Moore was gone and White makes sense but who is coming in and wants to play for the Cats! Gotta be some drop downs calling Vigen.

Honestly don’t think we bring many in. Just not how Vigen does it. That said I think we have a QB leave and we might try to get one.

Re: TRANSFERS
I don’t think we will see very many transfers as that isn’t how vigan wants to build this program. I would probably put the over/under of transfers at 6.5.GrizgradCatFan wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 6:12 pmWe know Moore was gone and White makes sense but who is coming in and wants to play for the Cats! Which is quite a contrast to Bobby over the hill, who I think has offered everyone in the portal
Monte eats corn the long way.

Re: TRANSFERS
Yeah, I don't expect many incoming transfers as long as the number of outgoing transfers remains fairly low. MSU signed a big class of incoming freshmen so there aren't a ton of spots available to fill right now.

Re: TRANSFERS

I would guess this is pretty close. Based on Vigens post-game interview, it sounded like he thought there were a few spots that could use some shoring up (or maybe I read too much into what he said). We’ve got “Guys”, we could really use a few “Dudes”. I’d sure take a serious possession receiver, some linebacker speed and size, and 1 or 2 more big, aggressive, over achievers on the D-line if we’re making wish lists….

Re: TRANSFERS
During Colters interview with Prukop, Dakota mentioned that he’d taken phone calls or messages from FBS level QBs that expressed interest in dropping down to MSU. I’d be curious if Colter could share anymore knowledge of that comment?

Re: TRANSFERS
I’ll be interested in seeing if Vigen takes a run at Giovani McCoy or RJ Martinez. Both had early success in the Big Sky. Then again….guessing both are looking for bigger paydays.
Going forward will be interesting at QB. If we go with one of our young guys and we strike gold, they will get a bag of money thrown at them and I can’t imagine a kid being able to turn that down. On the other hand, if you go portal shopping you’ll get a more developed qb, but won’t have any long term consistency at the position. Pretty safe to say that it is unlikely that this program will ever see a 3 or 4 year starter again in the present state of college football, unless you can find another Montana kid who grows up dreaming of being a Bobcat.
Anyway, will be interesting to see what the Bobcats/Bison/Jackrabbits and Aggies do at that position. It will probably go a long ways in determining next year’s National Championship.

Re: TRANSFERS
Unless they transfer, both DSUs have their next QB ready to go. Cole Payton for NDSU and Chase Mason at SDSU. I think we probably already have ours too.MinnesotaBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 9:58 amI’ll be interested in seeing if Vigen takes a run at Giovani McCoy or RJ Martinez.
