Always go to weather.com to verify what Alexa is telling you is true. Then use your google home to see if the others a right. Finally open a beer and stare out the window. If the rock is wet, it's raining.

We use weather underground. Our area has a few reporting stations to chose from, all within a couple of miles. I have a weather station that Patti got me for Christmas. Nice addition to my stuff.
But allcat, I love your idea about grabbing a beer. I can sit on our deck or patio and just check what is on my head...
