Comedians (who do you miss?)

Post by CelticCat » Wed Dec 07, 2005 5:34 pm

I miss Sinbad. I don't care what people say, I thought the man was hilarious.

I especially miss Chris Farley, though. RIP

John Belushi and Chris Farley, RIP. Robin Williams doesn't seem to have many appearances anymore, either. He's crazy, but absolutely hilarious.

You've got to miss all those Saturday Night Live comics who died young.

My current favorite is Lewis Black.

He has this bit about the Cold where he says "you know it's cold when it's too cold to finish a sentence...YOu know I was .....F--k it's cold"

I think it's about that cold today.

The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.

I went to Mitch's website when I heard he died, and the date was April 1st so I was praying it was a joke.

That guy was hilarious.

Dane Cook, Carlos Mencia, Dat Phan, Brain Regan, Jim Breuer (of Half Baked fame), Lewis Black, Dave Attell, Jeremy Hotz, Hal Sparks, Russel Peters, Kevin James, Mitch Hedburg, Robin Williams, Frank Caliendo. All great comedians. Can't forget the best of them all, Chris Farley.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

The first time I heard Bob Saget do stand-up I was blown away. He is the polar opposite of Danny Tanner...this dude is filthy.

Tim Allen's stand-up was a bit "colorful" before he hit TV as well...

Belushi was a genius; a brilliant but stupid genius.

Very few people have made me laugh as consistently as Bill Cosby did (stand-up, not the Cosby show).

I never really "got" Chris Farley? A big fat guy, running around, yelling at the top of his lungs = 90% of his "schtick"; hell, most of us could do that!

Phil Hartman was very talented (and very underrated, IMO).

Seinfeld was/is great, but Jason Alexander & Michael Richards MADE that show.

Larry David's stand-up is either priceless or terrible; either way it's pretty funny to watch, however. Some other comedian told a story about LD walking out to a microphone, looking over the audience slowly from one side to the other; he grabbed the mike, said "forget it" and walked off. I would still be laughing if I'd seen that live!

I must have seen that same thing on Larry David. I think it was a documentary done on Curb Your Enthusiasm...That is my favorite show of all-time. I am a huge nerd and actually own all of the DVD's.
