I really hope he honors his commitment to the Cats.

Agreed....sounds like he could be a superstar in the big sky conference. Excited to see how coach fish develops players.duelalumnicat wrote:I really hope he honors his commitment to the Cats.
Huse was a solid recruiter, but player development was definitely his weak spot.

I hope Fish spends the time to convince Ghassan and his parents that Montana State is still the where he can excell in basketball and get a degree for the futureduelalumnicat wrote:I really hope he honors his commitment to the Cats.

I agree. He should be on a plane right now to sit in their living room. Does anyone know if this is allowable per NCAA rules?mslacat wrote:I hope Fish spends the time to convince Ghassan and his parents that Montana State is still the where he can excell in basketball and get a degree for the futureduelalumnicat wrote:I really hope he honors his commitment to the Cats.

According to Fish, Nehme was asked for and given a release from his LOI.

Too bad, but player turnover occurs with any new coaching hire. We wanted a new coach, we have to live with the consequences of that change. The kid Coach Fish is recruiting out of Arizona looks like he could be a good under the radar pickup, maybe he's going after him with Nehme's scholarship? Best of luck to Nehme, unless he ends up in Missoula, Ogden, or another Big Sky city.

With the senior year he had I don't think we will see him in the big sky. Except a play up non conference game.

Yes, his de-commitment had nothing to do with who the MSU coach is. They guy had a fabulous year and is looking playing for bigger program rather than the mid-majors.
Also, I can't agree with those who said that Huse was a solid recruiter. Too many JC players. A few are fine but you can't truly build a stable program with the number Huse recruited year in and year out.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Does he have any other offers at this time?aucat wrote:Yes, his de-commitment had nothing to do with who the MSU coach is. They guy had a fabulous year and is looking playing for bigger program rather than the mid-majors.

Who's the kid out of Arizona Fish is trolling for, haven't heard of that. Could you elaborate? Also, any news about the other two who signed from England? We sure need some help at the post/forward positions IMO!
