Mild twinge of interest
Don't know what's going on, but for the first time in a while I have a minor case of serious interest in the men's basketball program this year. I went through the bio's of the team, last years scores, and came away thinking maybe the CATS can win at least 20 games this year. I am not a "bandwagoneer", it's just a case of at some point one needs to give up....unless you're a Cub fan. For several years I kept hoping over and over the outcomes would change and it started driving me crazy. So, I've kept my VIM on ice. Maybe this year I can take it out.

I don't see how you could be called a bandwagon guy, It looks to me as though you are almost leading the parade, behind truecat and belgrade maybe. If they win 20 games though I doubt it, if so then I would be the part of the horse that is pulling the wagon, just under the tail.Mr Lisle wrote:Don't know what's going on, but for the first time in a while I have a minor case of serious interest in the men's basketball program this year. I'd love to see it. It's just that the entire history of Huse's tenure suggests otherwise. Really, it's the age-old adage "fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice, shame on YOU", and it's been shame on MSU for about 6 seasons now. Every season, they make a run in January or February, and I think "maybe they have it figured out", only to come away disappointed. One thing about it, I never reached that point last season.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

You've got the adage backward. It's "fool me once, shame on you," because lying is wrong. "Fool me twice, shame on me," because if someone has already lied to you, what are you doing still believing them?grizzh8r wrote:I'd love to see it. Anyway, in this case both MSU and the fans are the "me" in this statement, forced to hope that the eight and ninth(!) seasons of Brad Huse will be better than the previous seven, based on a track record of little success and no progress.

Or maybe it was actually just a touch of gas.

Whichever it was, I'm sure it is healthier to just let it go.Jobu wrote:MSU01 wrote:I think that twinge just got taken care of.

It was quick and painless.MSU01 wrote:I think that twinge just got taken care of.
I did note however, the CAT basketball team tied the Eastern Washington football team. So...........
