High School Stadiums in Texas

Post by mquast53000 » Tue Aug 16, 2005 10:35 am

Here is an interesting site that I came across about Texas high school stadiums. I was really surprised by the huge capacities these stadiums have. Four stadiums hold over 20k! There are 10 stadiums that hold over 16k! We can only hold 13,500 in Bozeman (15,000 with extra bleachers brought in).

It amazed me when the military took me to the South to see how huge their football stadiums are--love the gameday atmosphere.

Q-
we sold out most of the Oakland Stadium for our high school games. And when the "streak" ended here in Seattle against Bellevue we had over 15K at a high school game. De La Salle Spartans have one of the countries longest win records, but we're in CA. TX is just as nuts about their teams, so it doesn't surprise me at all.

If bobcat (fill in: Ted Turner, or Roger Enrico, or the Qualcomm gentleman, can't remeber his name) staduim needs an example of what it could be, check out frisco stadium.

It has my vote.
