I'll take MSU over PSU (68-61) and UM over NAU (80-59) today.

MSU over No. Colo. (67-66) and Weber over UM (61-59) in the semis.

Weber over MSU (71-65) in the championship game.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

So many people are going to the game tonight that there's no one left to make predictions.

Actually the school just sent out an email that a big crowd is expected. Could be a 1988 MSU vs UW NIT atmosphere tonight. Best game I ever saw MSU lose.

Looks like all the predictions were wrong. How can that be improved?

TomCat's Griz vs NAU prediction was pretty damn close at least :) 81-60!

I honestly thought that PSU was a tougher draw than NAU in the tourney. PSU is much more athletic and can be a pretty impressive team (but can also look terrible too on some nights). Even though I hated to see the Griz lose to the cats twice this year (that last one really stung) I'm glad you guys drew PSU instead of us. That said, I'm still kind of surprised PSU won. It looks like, judging by the box score, psu must have played quite a lot of zone forcing you guys to resort to chucking up a lot of 3s (10-29) ?

Anyway, congrats on the 3rd seed in the big sky tournament, beating the Griz twice this year (dammit) and a 10-6 conference record. That's definitely nothing to be ashamed of! You guys have some good talent coming back next year with Howard and Rush returning, and I'm sure will be right back up near the top of the Big Sky again.

I should mention this was the actual game score and not me being a dumbass and "predicting" the final result...after it happened.

Actual game score:

Griz 66
WSU 65

An amazing comeback - history making, on national TV. I am as shocked as anyone that we could come back from 22 (20 at half).

Hopefully next year's tourneys (both men's and women's) are played in the great state of MT. But how cool was it for the Griz to beat weber in Ogden?

Actually, it was not cool at all watiching them all hop on the back of Anthony Johnson and ride him to a championship. Mind you this is the same guy who could not qualify academically for UW, Wash. St, EWU or MSU...

That's a cheap shot, and blatantly not true.

grades were not AJ's problem. it was an amazing individual performance. and to be honest, i was getting a little tired of some pretty cocky weber fans. 2 years in a row they can't get it done at home when it matters.

trust me, i know with 100% certainty that they were not. ask anyone with any type of "inside" info and you;ll realize you are wrong on this one. grades may ahve been an issue in high school, and maybe even his first year in college. but grades were NOT the reason for him not playing for another school. to say otherwise is completely untrue. sorry.

Ok, we can go back and forth on "inside information" sources...they were an issue for him to attend MSU.
