Matakis

So does anyone know the word on Andy's injury yet? I have heard he is out for an undisclosed number of months? But is the word he is lost for the season? If so, does this mean Hoffenbacker will see some time this year?

Overall how did the defense look? Were they able to get a good push into the line/attacke? Or did the OL dictate what they wanted to do back to the defense? Also, was the defense able to put up a sustained effort or did their smaller size not allow for that? I am hoping out OL can 'attack' the defenses this year and wear them down. This is no knock on the defense, but our line is very big/impressive this year and I was hoping we could see some of this in the scrimmage?

Word is that Matakis is out 5-6 months. I don't know if that includes getting in shape and his strength back. He put on a lot of weight in the last year. How much of that will he lose while recovering? Looks like either a red shirt year (assuming the NCAA will grant him a medical red shirt) or back for the November and hopefully playoff games.
