Lady Cats hire USU assistant for head WBB coach
Thanks a lot man, we were doing a pretty good job for only a second year program. Now we will see how good of a head coach we have. Seriously, I hope she works out well for the Cats and even notches a couple wins over the Lady Griz in time. Good luck to coach Binford and the Lady Cats (and Lady Aggies).

I think that some of the best things I am hearing about Tricia Binford are coming from Utah State. It is gratifying that they are saying we got a good one. She certainly won me over on her interview as straight-forward, competent, understanding the game, and being a player's coach.
I'm already excited to go back to the Brick next Fall, even with no cheerleaders, lousy hotdogs and hamburgers, and a pep band that still struggles to get a firm grip on the national anthem.
It seems like a bright new day for Women's BB.

Most USU fans seem to think her loss is a big blow to our program but, they are happy for her. I will post her bio, and our head coaches bio from the USU website.

Thanks, NavyBlue. The USU feelings are what I would hope to read -- and this can be a great place to live and coach for the right person. MSU has just experienced a few fits and starts in finding the right person. But the warning signs were always there, and this just feels better. I have to commend Peter Fields for doing this the right way -- and seemingly with excellent results. It is nice to get a coach with an all D-1 collegiate background and not be promoting from a lower division.
We'll even forgive her for playing against us with Boise St., because she said nice things about playing against Cass Bauer!
When Utah State played up here a year ago, the team did not look like it was having a lot of fun. Maybe it was the growing pains. As everyone knows, Bobcats love to have fun
Good to know the cheerleaders will return -- it was just not the same without 'em. They sure disappeared quietly.

Quick question: Is in Binford, Bader-Binford, or Bader Binford?
Please, for the love of everything holy, not another hyphenated head coach. You got married ladies, just like your mom before you, your grandmothers before her, and your great grandmothers before them. If everyone kept every name they ever had that would make for some really entertaining play-by play.
Does this post make me an insensitive chauvinistic arse?
Hey, I like watching Maryland's Nick Caner-Medly. By the way, who did he marry?

Yeah, I am really confused by some of these posts as well. Do some guys really get that insecure in the presence of a woman who defines herself however she wishes? They aren't just in the kitchen and washing your grundies for you anymore, guys....mslacat wrote:WHY!!??Bobcat4Ever wrote:Peter Fields officially introduced her at the press conference as Tricia Binford. I hope there is some meaning in that.![]()
I am starting to get ticked

Oh man ... now I have to make a point to get back for a women's game sometime if for no other reason than to see how true that is. I have a serious Katie Holmes thing....iaafan wrote:Besides she's way too good looking to be washing anyones undies. Saw her play in a WNBA game a few years ago and I think it's safe to say she is MSU's all-time babe of coaches. Kind of has that Katie Holmes thing going on.

Oh man, I'm getting impatient for summer vacation in two months
I'll be laying on the beach at Sanibel watching the sea and in the evening looking into the ladies...eyes
Plus, I'll have to go to Hooters for some buffalo wings
But the beach and ladies basketball--there's an idea! Ladies basketball next to beach volleyball. How many season tickets for Lady Cat games have already been sold since the coaching announcement
