I'll leave it up to the experts like BobCatFan, who via his numouerus posts to the site appears to have never made a positive comment about his favorite teams, to decide which reason goes with which person:

1-- manic depression, hard-core counseling recommended he be closer to home

2-- having trouble with rigors of school at your university and finding too much time to party

3-- injuires and out of shape led to very little playing time

4-- father had cancer, wanted to be near family during tying times

5-- don't know

Official story line goes:

Shea Washington: Wanted to be closer to home / play BB with his best friend
Brain Williams: Not enough playing time as a Freshman, thought he was too good for the program.
Luke Anderson: Got home sick
Bo Seaberge: Cronic back problem, Quit the team, when it healed he was no longer D-1 elligable
Wes Morals: Walk-on was not offered a scholarship last year, wanted more playing time.

If you don't even know what one of the kids first name is how do you know why he left? Its Jeff Williams.

Shea didn't like Bozeman or Durham.

Jeff Williams wasn't very good and left because he thought he should have played more.

Luke Anderson left because he thought he was going to be the star out here and wasn't (I think he used the 9/11 attacks as a way to leave).

Bo didn't like Durham but when he got healed he could have stayed and still played.

Wes felt like he was getting screwed on playing time and no scholorship.

Bobcat Basketball Gods, please OH, please OH, please forgive me for I have sin, for it was not Brain Williams , but Jeff. I must now go back and think about my sins.

There are multiple reasons I have heard for everyone listed above. There are the reasons MSU gave and there are the reasons that the players gave and then there are the rumored real reason. If you notice in my original post I used the word "official" as a way of indicate there maybe more than one account as to why a player left. From the people I have talked to at MSU everyone was shocked and disapointed when he left, one person told me they thought MSU had stole one from the Pac-10 when he showed up on campus. No one was too sorry to see JEFF Williams leave MSU and him were not a good match (read: Mslacat very selective and politically correct in his word choices) When Anderson left people were confused and surprised, because it happened so quick. Bo I have the lease anount of information, but I can tell you he would not have been elligable this year at MSU because of the NCAA clock issues. Moralas was promised a scholarship, I was told that under the 5-8 rule there was a exception for players who had spent two years as a walk-on with a program. When the 5-8 rule was repealed last year Durham was able to signed any athlete and he did not Give a scholarship to Moralas but offered it to Jo'Ron Jefferson.

MS-you seem to have some defensive problems. i wasn't trying to call you out just stating that if you were not involved directly in the program then you won't know the real reasons why they left. Stop taking everything so personal.

Correction:

Luke Anderson was first team North Central Conference

A little info I found:
Anderson is third in the NCC rankings in three-point field goals made (2.60 tpfgpg) and fourth in three-point field goal percentage (41.1%). He also stands sixth in the league in scoring (16.5 ppg), seventh in minutes played (29.37 mpg), ninth in free throw percentage (76.6%), 11th in field goal percentage (47.4%), tied for 12th in overall rebounding (4.8 rpg), 14th in defensive rebounding (3.20 drpg) and 15th in offensive rebounding (1.60 orpg).

This season, Anderson's 78 three-point field goals are tied for the third-best single-season total in MSU history. A starter in 56 consecutive games dating back to last season, Anderson has reached double digits in scoring in 50 career games, including cracking the 20-point plateau on 24 occasions, with 14 coming in 2004-05. In his 66-game career, Anderson has scored 1,023 points for an average of 15.5 ppg. Anderson has 153 career three-pointers made, total that is tied for sixth on the MSU career list, and is sixth in the career three-point field goal attempted list with 374, giving him a career three-point field goal percentage of 40.9%.
Sorry Luke

I still think, "Brain" is a better name, no matter what his real name is.
