Who starts? KC or Miller

Post by iaafan » Fri Feb 18, 2005 5:08 pm

Does anyone know if Mick plans to start KC again on Sat. night? I see Miller had some personal issues and didn't start on Thurs. (only played 13 minutes). I think MSU is better with KC coming off the bench.

MSU needs to win this game, because I don't see UM getting all fired up about beating PSU next Sat. just so MSU can host the tourney, assuming it comes to that. If they have third or fourth wrapped up, I doubt they care much either way.

Except that they played well in Bozeman the last time they were in the tournament there.

I think that the friz will be pumped for saturday. They are out of the race for first place, but I think they would rather have to tourny here so they could get more fans to show up.

Did I miss something? What happened to Miller?

From what I know (and this could be wrong, I am still drunk) he got pulled over for speeding and did not show up in court to pay for it by the day he should of. A day later he went in to court to pay the fine, but by then there was a warrent out and he was halled to jail. He spent that day in jail and missed a practice.

I am not a big fanof Miller.....he is selfish and plays individual ball. Mick needs to start Casey or at least get him in the game sooner. He, Dissly, Jefferson, Moss and a combination of Durr and Beye are the best fit. Miller either shoots you out of a game (most often) or in a game. His demeanor is always questionable and you never know when he will explode or do something stupid.

Go with C. Durham!

  Tonite: Need whoever plays with speed and quickness. SAC State does not spend a lot of time on team or defense. They like to go one on one. Many of their assists are a result of steals. Who can get it done in transition? They are threat to steal at any location on the court but they do not shoot as well as NAU and give up baskets in the half court in a hurry so they can get back on offense.

I like Miller a lot. He forces a few shots, but he also makes some great passes, and plays good defense. I think that he and Jefferson really feed off one another pretty well. Keep in mind that Miller isn't a true point guard, and doesn't have the point guard mentality (neither does casey), and looks to score more than he probably should. A lot of times he forces something up that isn't in the natural flow of the game, and it makes you cringe, BUT One thing that I've really noticed about Millers is that you will very rarely see him take stupid shots in the last 10 minutes of the game. He may throw up a few prayers in the first half, but once it hits that 10 minute mark (from the games I've seen), he really turns it on and looks like the best point guard in the league.

I also remember Danny Sprinkle forcing up a lot of unauthorized shots during his career. I'm not comparing Miller to Sprinklel, because that is really unfair to Danny, but I'm just saying that the two of them have the same type of scoring mentality.
