My caption would be:
"Move this immediately to the smack board. Do not pass Go. Do not collect any intelligence".

In the "Brawl of the Wild" the injury carts are a little bigger.

That reminds me of going up the Pass a couple years ago. Elk dead on the side of the road, and the Subaru that hit it was about 50 yards ahead. Looked like a tie.
What's the difference between you and a mallard with a cold? One's a sick duck. I can't remember how it ends but your mother's a whore.

Regardless of the potentially fantastic Cat/Griz smack that could come out of it, this picture bums me out...

If I hit something like that I'd wait in my truck a loooong time before getting out to check on it.
If it makes you guys feel better, a big male like that is not all that important to the overall population of a species and probably already has his share of cubs running around...or crawling in to go to sleep about this time of the year.

You know, I've been thinking about this picture and why it would bother me so much. I think I have an answer. It's not the fact that it's a very impressive creature laying dead in the back of the truck, not even the fact that the aforementioned critter is dead in the first place. Not even a belief that it's harmful to the species (SL's probably right on in that regard). It's the blood still running out of Yogi's nose. Just makes it seem a little more "real", I guess. This beast has blood, just like me and my wife and my folks and my siblings. Don't know, maybe I'm just a wuss...
